About the job

Are tax reforms, budget negotiations and ministerial support something for you? Do you have numerical understanding, and can you explain the text clearly? Do you want to work with the central elements of the tax system – and would you like to be part of a well-functioning office with other skilled and engaged colleagues? Then maybe you are the one we need.

About the position

As an employee in the Tax- and Growth Ministry's Office for Personal and Property Taxation you will work with analyses and impact assessments within tax policy. You will prepare answers to questions from the Folketing (Parliament) about everything from property assessments and property taxes to the top tax and travel deduction. Maybe you will contribute to the ministry's publication Tax Economic Account or to the secretariat support of the government's forthcoming commission on property gains taxation .

You will become part of a professionally strong environment and have the opportunity to learn a lot about tax policy in collaboration with good colleagues. In the office we are 10 employees of all ages. We prioritise getting along with each other and the other offices in the ministry. Even when we are busy.

We deal with topics with great political focus, and we contribute to finding professionally good solutions to current challenges. Often the office's cases will find their way into the news. It makes it fun and meaningful to go to work. Occasionally it also requires that we put in more than 37 hours a week. But we prioritise that work and leisure are in balance.

About you

You are cand.polit., cand.oecon. or similar with a solid grasp of the economic toolkit. You are newly graduated or have a few years of experience. You are ambitious, quick to learn and interested in a steep learning curve. You are thorough and thrive with both short and longer deadlines. You express yourself well in writing but also have the willingness to dive into technical issues. It is advantageous if you have knowledge of programming, e.g., in SAS, Python or similar. You are a team player who gains energy from having a broad contact surface, but can also dribble with the ball alone if required.

Work closely with what matters

In the Tax- and Growth Ministry we work closely with the political processes in an area with great attention and many stakeholders. We put all our efforts into solving our tasks in a proper way while also setting direction and creating solutions for our entire group.

We are a professional and ambitious department with about 330 employees, who daily solve challenging tasks across disciplines. We know that the good solution arises from the interaction between disciplines. Therefore we cultivate a strong professional collaboration culture, where there is also room for the social.
