IT/OT administrator for TVIS. Make your mark on the technology for critical infrastructure

Do you want to use your experience with IT networks, operations and security in an organization that provides heating to about 115,000 households? You’ll have a daily life with practical operational tasks, technical problem solving and development of the infrastructure that supports district heating in the Triangle Region.

A new position with room for your ideas We want to gather more IT/OT knowledge internally and strengthen our own preparedness. Therefore we are creating this position, where you will have the opportunity to influence how we organize tasks and how we develop our systems.

You will become our internal expert in the area and work together with the supply department as well as external IT/OT partners. The position belongs to the Supply and Infrastructure department, and you report to the head of supply Finn Junker.

Your tasks will include:

• Maintain our IT/OT systems in good operation through maintenance, monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Manage servers, networks and user access, as well as install and update hardware and software.
• Work with network construction, data structures, cybersecurity, firewalls and network segmentation.
• Maintain backup and restore solutions and contribute to our ability to restore systems after operational disruptions.
• Document systems, networks and configurations so knowledge is available and usable in daily operations.
• Propose and implement improvements to our IT/OT solutions in collaboration with colleagues and external partners.

Your background You have a solid IT foundation and a desire to work with OT. It is central that you have several years of practical experience with IT networks, operations and security. If you have also worked with OT control networks, that is an advantage.

We do not expect you to know all our technologies in advance, and we will provide thorough training when necessary. Today we have networks and firewalls from Fortinet and WatchGuard, Windows server environments and Hyper-V, backup and restore with Veeam or Acronis, as well as administration of Microsoft 365, Entra and Intune.

Cybersecurity is a natural part of your approach to work. TVIS is ISO-certified, and familiarity with ISO 27001, NIS2 and security requirements for critical infrastructure will be helpful, but not a prerequisite to apply.

As a person The following keywords describe the right candidate: systematic, proactive, good at explaining IT and curious. You work methodically and follow through on tasks to the end. When you troubleshoot or change a solution, you have an eye for the consequences for the rest of the operation. You gladly use monitoring and logging to detect problems and identify improvements, and you can explain technical issues so colleagues and management have a solid basis to make decisions.

Finally, you are curious about the field and motivated to learn the special considerations that come with systems closely connected to the physical supply.

We are a small community with a big task You will spend your daily life in Fredericia together with about 30 colleagues. At the same time we face an exciting development. TVIS will in the coming years supplement the transmission of district heating with more own heat production. The practical The position is a permanent appointment of 37 hours per week. You have the possibility of flexibility by agreement with your manager and in relation to your tasks. We would like you to join the team no later than February 1, but we are also happy to wait for the right candidate.

About TVIS TVIS is owned by the municipalities of Fredericia, Kolding, Middelfart and Vejle. We transport district heating from larger heat producers to local district heating companies and help ensure heat and hot water for about 115,000 households. We deliver around 2 million MWh annually and are facing a development where in the next 10–15 years we will produce a substantial part of the heat ourselves.
