About the job

Do you have the desire and ability to work with exciting tasks within the insolvency law field – then you can now become part of a professionally strong team in the Debt Authority in Thisted.

You will actively contribute to tasks of great significance to society

In daily work you will handle tasks in the insolvency law area with a focus on bankruptcy proceedings. The Debt Authority is among other things responsible for ensuring that companies' debt does not increase, and to safeguard the interests of public creditors in connection with our handling of bankruptcies and restructurings. These are tasks that have great importance for society, and where the results of your efforts will be visible.

You will become part of a well-functioning team with broad professional span. Your colleagues are highly competent, and several have many years of experience within insolvency law.

In the work with bankruptcy administration and restructurings you will be in dialogue with companies, trustees, auditors, lawyers and other stakeholders. You will also have to appear in the district courts on behalf of the Debt Authority. Your daily work will be characterized by a high pace, and an expectation that you can manage case handling independently with a focus on quality and integrity.

In short, your primary tasks will include

  • Assessment of bankruptcy conditions and filing for bankruptcy
  • Appearance in court and case preparation in the district court
  • Case handling according to bankruptcy decree
  • Handling of security measures and avoidance
  • Contact with citizens and companies and their advisers
  • Cooperation with other agencies and authorities
  • Administrative tasks across insolvency case handling

Depending on your profile, you will later be able to take on other tasks such as participating in working groups or other government collaboration.

There is a wide range of tasks with large differences in complexity. We expect you to work independently and have a good overview, as you will take responsibility for your own case portfolio while maintaining a collegial mindset.

Become part of a professionally strong and dedicated team

You will become part of a unit with skilled and engaged colleagues, where we work with both well-known and complex problems. We help each other across teams and focus on common goals, high professionalism and job satisfaction.

We prioritise your professional development through thorough onboarding, ongoing sparring, follow-up and the opportunity to maintain and develop your competences.

Quality- and responsibility-conscious case handler

You have a relevant higher education, preferably with a legal focus. Your background could be e.g. tax auditor, lawyer or similar. You may be newly graduated or you may have a few years of experience. We tailor your tasks and responsibilities to your experience and competences.

The Debt Authority is the state’s dunning agency and collects debts for public creditors. You will work in the final part of the collection process and have contact with citizens and companies in financially difficult situations. It requires that you can establish and maintain a constructive dialogue and communicate professionally as a representative of the Debt Authority.

You describe yourself as responsible, dutiful, flexible and focused on quality in task execution.

It is a condition that you have a driving license, as you will need to drive in a service car to the district courts.

If you can see yourself as part of the Debt Authority, do not hesitate to apply – we need you.

Applications with CV and degree certificate should be sent via the link “Apply for the position” no later than Sunday 22 November 2026. We expect to hold interviews in weeks 48 and 49.
