Consultant for Renovation Program

Can you maintain the financial overview and ensure political communication of renovation projects and complex budgets? Region Hovedstaden is seeking a consultant for our renovation program in the Center for Properties

On January 1, the Center for Properties will change its name to Properties and Constructions in connection with the merger of Region Hovedstaden and Region Zealand into the new Region Østdanmark.

Do you want to be part of the upcoming Region East, and work with the development of the region's hospitals and help plan how we best can utilize the region's buildings - both in the short and long term? Do you want to prepare analyses and be close to decisions on optimizing the region's hospital buildings?

Your contribution will have great significance for the region's hospitals, where well-functioning frameworks are crucial for patients, relatives and staff. Through your work with the renovation program you will help ensure that the hospitals are continuously modernized and future-proofed. When you create financial overview and communicate the projects' progress politically, you help build trust in the region's investments in the health service's physical framework.

About the position

As our new consultant you will be responsible for continuously updating, structuring and maintaining an overview of the renovation program's finances. An important task will also be to translate and explain complex budgets and construction projects into political communication.

Your main tasks will be to

• Prepare case documents and memoranda for political approval of the renovation program's appropriations
• Participate in the renovation program's portfolio management
• Work with long-term planning of the region's renovation efforts
• Ensure financial overview of the initiated and planned renovation projects

About you

We are looking for a candidate for a newly created position with

• Relevant higher education (e.g., political science or economics)
• Experience with politically governed organizations and complex decision-making processes
• Ability to operate in the cross-field between politics, economics, planning and construction
• Strategic overview, financial understanding and secure written communication

Personally you work in a structured and independent manner, have a strong professional compass and thrive in the tension between strategy and practice. You maintain an overview in complex cases and have a high degree of empathy and constructive understanding of the many - sometimes conflicting - considerations in task solving.

Finally it is an advantage if you have experience with construction planning and/or the hospital sector.

The position is newly created in the Renovation Program and is located in the Planning Section under the unit Property Strategy. In the Planning Section we today work 13 people with different professional backgrounds - architects and planners with engineering, economic and social science backgrounds. We sit in CEJ-Huset near Herlev station, together with about 70 colleagues from finance, law, environment and sustainability, the construction project organization, as well as property operations and administration.

About the Center for Properties (coming Properties and Constructions)

The Center for Properties has since 2017 managed the region's property portfolio of over 2 million square meters – from listed properties to new hospital buildings. Together we create, operate and optimize the physical framework for the Region's hospitals and companies, and we are responsible for related property services, as well as warehousing and logistics across the region.

Employment

The position is a permanent full-time role at 37 hours per week.

Employment is in accordance with one of the schedules below. The starting salary may vary depending on your seniority, experience, education and the geographic location of the workplace.
