Teacher for Phase 1 at Hornbæk School

We are looking for you who are teacher-trained and can teach in most subjects and especially Danish and English. The position is in Phase 1, which is our 0th-4th grade, where your primary year group will be 4th grade.

At Hornbæk School we are focused on how we together can develop varied teaching that creates participation opportunities for all students. We organize ourselves into fixed year-group teams, where we develop shared practice and view curiosity about our own practice as a strength.

At our school project-based learning (PBL) is the pedagogical and didactic foundation. We believe children learn best when they work exploratively, creatively and in community with authentic problems.

This school year half of the school year's teaching is organized into 4 larger cross-disciplinary projects, where the year-group team collaborates across subjects, closely with the teaching.

All of this in collaboration with the KATA Foundation and 10 LEAPS schools distributed across Denmark.

Because we just work project-based and interdisciplinary, it is important that you - in addition to contributing in your own subjects - also see a strength in contributing to other subject areas and in being part of a learning community. We do not expect you to know everything about project-based work, but it is crucial that you want and have the courage to learn it.

Salary and terms of employment in accordance with the applicable collective agreement with the possibility of negotiating a functional allowance and qualification allowance. A criminal record and child protection clearance will be obtained prior to employment.
