About the job

Do you want to experience being part of a unique work community? Do you want to make a difference for the children and contribute to the school becoming a playful and curious learning space again? Do you want a coherent work and private life? Then read on.

Become part of a community that dares to lead

At Brønshøj School we continually develop our practice. In recent years, management and staff have jointly taken responsibility to create a school that matches the children’s needs in 2026. We are deliberately working to strengthen the diverse child communities and improve our collaboration so that we succeed with our core task.

At Brønshøj School we prioritize strong collaboration, primarily one year group per teacher, just as we have a close parent collaboration to strengthen diverse child communities. We work in “co-led” year-group teams, where several adults plan, implement and evaluate teaching together. We place emphasis on flexible planning, so pupils meet few familiar adults in daily life.

Teaching is planned to motivate and engage the students – among other things through problem-based learning (PBL) and increased possibility for team teaching. Our goal is to create an inclusive learning environment where all children (and adults) can participate and thrive.

We expect that you

  • are trained as a teacher. Experience is fine, but engagement and openness to learning are just as important. We want to hear from you, regardless of which subjects you are competent to teach
  • would like to join a close and well-functioning year-group team, where we prioritize community and collaboration on PBL teaching (problem-based learning)
  • are passionate about creating teaching that motivates, makes sense and is relevant – both for you and the students
  • thrive with both single-subject and cross-disciplinary teaching and are not afraid to try new methods
  • can sense and build relationships – and that you have a heart that beats to make a positive difference for all students and will contribute to all students feeling they have participatory opportunities

•

What your future colleagues say: "On the individual year group the teachers know all the students, we lift together and we celebrate each other’s differences. We help, laugh and challenge each other – both with new ideas and in everyday life. We are never alone in the task."

The professional community at Brønshøj School

At Brønshøj School we work in co-leading teams with close collaboration and joint preparation. We believe in freedom with responsibility, so each team develops methods that suit our students rather than following rigid frameworks.

Our structure is created together with the staff to ensure high well-being and job satisfaction. Here your voice is heard. Although we work in year-group teams, we prioritize the great community across the whole school – for the benefit of both students and adults.

We offer

  • a fixed full-time position in an ambitious, supportive and fun colleague community
  • a work community where your voice is heard and your curiosity valued
  • joint preparation and task solving – we are never alone
  • opportunity to shape the school's development – both in your team and across year groups
  • a school where community and professionalism go hand in hand

About us

Brønshøj School includes both primary (0-5) and lower secondary (6-9) – and on each year group we work closely together to plan, implement and evaluate the teaching. "We-feeling" is not just a goal, but a practice that permeates our everyday life. Here we put everyone's unique competences to use – to the benefit of the community and our 1000 students.
