About the job

Are you passionate about giving people a chance to start life anew? Do you have an overview, initiative and can take responsibility? Are you able to listen with the same dedication as you would like to be heard with? Are you committed to respect for fellow human beings and to making team collaboration work at its best? Can you keep a cool head and your own nervous system calm in a daily life with complex problems?

Then you can become one of everyday heroes with us.

As our long-standing colleague has chosen to retire at the end of February 2027, we are here seeking his replacement:

ABOUT US

Working basis

  • At Møltrup, men – today and as at the founding in 1912 – can find help to start life anew.
  • Møltrup sees itself as part of the Church of Denmark’s diaconal work.
  • Møltrup’s target group is men who have particular social problems (e.g., homelessness), and who are committed to sobriety and to the community of running the farm together.
  • Møltrup Admissions Home is a self-governing nonprofit offering, operated in accordance with the Social Services Act – primarily §110 (acute homelessness), §107 (temporary stay) and §108 (longer-term stay).

Vision

  • Everyone should have a home where life can be lived with dignity.
  • Everyone should have something to hope for and the courage to act.

Mission

At Møltrup we wish – on a social-educational and general basis – to create a framework for:

  • that residents' self-worth and self-confidence are strengthened by being together with someone about something.
  • that residents' insight into their own life is nurtured so that, with their own authority, they can engage in the surrounding society.
  • a coherent and strong local civil society where there is room for everyone.

We work from these four core values

  • dignity
  • trust
  • expectation
  • decency

WE ARE LOOKING FOR

a staff member (32-37 hours/week) with relevant background (educator/diacon/etc.) for housing support in our §108 area ( ’longer-term stay for persons who, due to significant and lasting physical or mental impairment, require extensive help with ordinary daily functions’ ).

There may be some evening and weekend shifts corresponding to about 15% of the position.

The housing support effort in this §108 area will aim to stabilize and maintain competencies. There will be a focus on individually tailored and professionally qualified housing support, where contact, relationships, quality of life and respect for the lived life are at the forefront.

We want at Møltrup to continuously expand professional competence and knowledge, e.g., through theme days, courses, supervision (by external psychologists and neuropsychologists) etc.

We have close cooperation with general practitioners, psychiatrists, psychologists, specialists, district nursing, addiction treatment providers, etc.

It is an advantage that you

  • have a relevant professional education (diakon/educator) and experience with the at-risk group, and be able to translate your professional knowledge into general practice both independently and in collaboration with colleagues with other professional backgrounds.
  • are curious and reflective about your own and colleagues’ practice and can give constructive feedback.
  • take responsibility for a good collegial community – both professionally and socially.
  • have an overview and derive energy from meeting people – and be able to switch from the unpredictable and demanding to the more routine.
  • have a calm body language - also in relation to boundary-pushing behavior.
  • have knowledge of Motivational Interviewing and Low Arousal.
  • have a desire to work at an idea-driven place like Møltrup.
