We are looking for a committed and responsible staff member for a 35-hour-per-week position with rotating shifts, mainly night shifts.

About Bihuset Døgn

Bihuset is a 24-hour facility for children with special needs. We work from the individual child’s inside perspective and base our approaches on professional methods such as TEACCH, KRAP and LA2U.

We are focused on creating a safe and recognizable daily life for the children, where care, structure and professionalism go hand in hand. We work as one unified house, where all staff contribute to making everyday life function – both professionally and practically.

About the night-shift function

You will become part of a fixed night-shift group of four staff members. At night there are always two staff on duty, so you have the opportunity to bounce ideas off each other and solve tasks together.

The night shift is primarily about ensuring the children a safe and calm night, where their individual needs for care, support and presence are met.

In addition, there are a number of practical tasks to be completed during the night. At Bihuset we help each other with practical tasks across the entire 24 hours, and therefore it is a natural and important part of the night-shift role to contribute to ensuring the house is ready for the coming day.

This means that you should enjoy a combination of caregiving duties, responsibility for the children’s well-being, and practical tasks.

We are looking for someone who

• Is caring, responsible, and stable.
• Can create calm and security around the children.
• Has an eye for each child’s needs and signals.
• Can work independently while also engaging in close cooperation with your night-shift colleague.
• Is flexible and can prioritize between different tasks.
• Thrives with practical tasks and sees them as a natural part of the shared responsibility for the house.
• Wants to join a workplace community where we help each other across professional groups and shifts.

Experience with autism or working with children with special needs is preferable but not required. The most important thing is that you are keen to learn and can meet the children with respect, care, and curiosity.

Work hours and practical information

The position is 35 hours per week and mainly consists of night shifts, but with rotating hours. Start date 1 January or as soon as possible

It is important that you are prepared for occasional daytime hours in the work schedule. This may be, for example, in connection with teaching and other joint activities.

We prioritize that the night-shift group is an integrated part of the overall work community at Bihuset. Therefore it is important that the night-shift staff also participate in relevant meetings and professional activities together with the rest of the staff group.

Bihuset is open year-round, and therefore work on weekends and holidays must be expected.

The region is obliged to inform you of the starting salary for the position. You will be told the base salary, centrally set allowances, and pension in 34.06.1 , 32.03.1 . In addition to the starting salary, the pay may include any negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience, and qualifications.
