Night Shifts for Home Care in Køge (both SSH and SSA)

We are looking for both a Social and Health Assistant (SSA) and a Social and Health Helper (SSH) for our mobile home care, which belongs to Local Team Køge East.

The night shift works across the entire municipality and you will have plenty of opportunity to put your experience and professional skills to use.

We offer you to work in a 7-7 pattern with a shift every 2 weekends – you have the opportunity to request even/odd weeks.

You will report in centrally in Køge, close to public transport.

About the job

You will become part of a strong team where we work with integrated care, prevention and rehabilitation in the client's own home.

We work from the premise that the individual client experiences that the help is based on their concrete needs, and that there is continuity and as few different staff as possible entering the client's home.

The night shift's tasks are diverse and, although we operate alone in a geographic area, we collaborate closely to provide the client with the best possible care. There are four areas, which everyone takes turns driving, and thus everyone gains insight into the clients' needs and everyone has the opportunity to influence the planning and execution of the tasks.

Your tasks

You will among other things work with

• Holistic care based on a preventive and rehabilitative approach for the individual client.
• Follow-up on SUL/SEL/Elder Law initiatives
• Be proactive in seeking knowledge about new professional instructions and guidelines.
• Planning of your own driving lists and tasks in collaboration with colleagues in the mini-team.

Concrete tasks include: personal hygiene, transferring/positioning, tube feeding, stoma care, catheter care, medication management and TOBS score, assessment of acute illness, palliative interventions.

Who are we?

The night shift consists of 10 colleagues – 3 SSAs, 5 SSHs and 2 SPLs. We are typically 4-5 on shift at a time. Some have 7-7 shift weeks, others 5-2 depending on individual agreements.

The team is composed of experienced and professionally skilled colleagues who constantly seek the best solutions for the citizens and for the working conditions.

You report in at Gymnasievej 8 in Køge together with the rest of the night shift team. Together you cover the entire Køge Municipality during the night hours.

You typically drive alone on your route, and meet with colleagues where necessary.

Who are we looking for?

For the SSA position, you must be educated as a Social and Health Assistant with Danish authorization.

For the SSH position, you must be educated as a Social and Health Helper.

It is also a requirement that you have a manual transmission driving license. There will be a service car available.

• Documenting according to the rules. We document in Nexus and training in the system is part of the introduction program.

Application and terms

The positions are 28 hours in a fixed night shift in a 7-7 rotation. The start time is 23:00-07:00 and there is a shift every 2 weekends.

It will be possible to supplement to full-time with day and evening shifts, but it is not mandatory.

Salary and employment terms in accordance with the applicable collective agreement and after negotiation with the negotiating organization.
