Nurse for a permanent day shift position on an exciting new unit

Are you a licensed nurse with overview, commitment and desire to shape the professional direction of a completely new care home with respite beds in Rødovre Municipality – then it might be you we are looking for.

About the new care home

We will together create a home and a workplace where it is good to live and work. The new care home will be more than a traditional nursing home offer. At the address, in addition to 15 care home places, we will also establish 14 respite beds for citizens who need temporary overnight stay, respite or support for a limited period.

The respite beds will among other things support citizens with dementia and their relatives and contribute to citizens maintaining as much independence as possible through care and support with a person-centered and rehabilitative approach.

In the first instance and starting 1.1.2027 we hire for a department with space for temporary stay, where citizens can come to relieve relatives or because the citizen for one reason or another temporarily cannot stay at home. By January we expect to recruit to the care home department.

The first period

You will together with the management help develop and support the professional direction and at the same time create the culture that will carry the house for many years to come. The culture should reflect high professionalism, a high degree of care and comfort and coziness and activity. We solve the tasks together with and around the residents, for example by eating together during meals. This applies whether the citizens are here as residents or citizens in temporary residence for respite or for assessment.

Your primary task r

As a nurse in day shift you are the house's professional focal point. You handle the nursing assessment of new residents – also in practice, where you welcome new residents and help ensure a safe and well-arranged start to the stay. You have a coordinating role both in relation to triage and at the start and end of the resident stay, and you ensure a professional and holistic handover when residents go home or further.

In daily work

• You handle the nursing assessment and observe, assess and follow up on the resident's condition
• You welcome new residents – that is, you are also practically involved in care with the resident – and ensure that treatment and care plans are concrete and usable. Just as you will be in care around unstable residents.
• You are responsible for triage and the shift's professional priorities so residents with acute needs are seen and treated promptly
• You ensure a safe start and a well-planned ending of each resident stay, including handover to home or other actors
• You collaborate with relatives who visit the house during the day
• You cooperate with doctors, assistive device department and the municipality's interdisciplinary teams on the overall effort

We are looking for you who

• Are a licensed nurse
• Have overview and can structure and prioritize in a busy daily life
• Thrive with responsibility for the nursing task in everyday life
• Are prepared for a coordinating role regarding triage as well as start and end of resident stay
• Have an interest in dementia, rehabilitation and preferably experience from the elderly sector
• Are engaged, flexible and responsible and thus not afraid to lend a hand when something is burning

Working hours

You will work in day shifts on weekdays. You only work rarely and to a limited extent on public holidays – namely when there are many holidays in a row, and your effort makes a difference.
