About the job

Join a small and safe Eden care home where expertise, presence and dignity go hand in hand.

At Skovgården we are seeking a licensed nurse – preferably with experience in the elderly care sector – who wishes to become part of an engaged team where nursing is close to the residents, and where you both contribute with your professional knowledge and actively participate in daily care.

Skovgården is a smaller care home with two departments, 15 residents in each department. The small size creates a safe environment where we know our residents, their relatives and each other. It provides close interdisciplinary cooperation, high continuity in care and good opportunities to build strong relations and individual pathways for the individual resident.

We work from the Eden Alternative philosophy, where the care home is first and foremost the residents’ home. We focus on quality of life, self-determination, meaningful communities and relationships, and we believe that care is created through presence, respect and an active everyday life.

Therefore you should choose Skovgården

  • A small and safe care home with 30 residents distributed across two departments.
  • An workplace that works from the Eden Alternative and places residents’ quality of life, self-determination and relationships at the center.
  • Dedicated and professionally skilled colleagues who help and consult with one another.
  • An approachable leadership where the door is open, and where sparring, dialogue and professional development are a natural part of everyday life.

With Skovgården you become part of a workplace where high professional quality, well-being and strong collaboration are the foundation of our daily life. You will have the opportunity for ongoing professional development and influence on nursing practice, while also working in a multidisciplinary environment where we together create the best possible everyday life for our residents.

Your role as a nurse

As a nurse at Skovgården you are a central professional resource and a visible part of daily life in both departments. You are responsible for the nursing quality and also actively contribute to the care around our residents.

Your tasks include, among others

  • Triaging residents and following up on changes in their health status.
  • Nursing assessments, observations and follow-up on complex resident journeys.
  • Planning, coordination and evaluation of nursing processes.
  • Active participation in daily care, where your nursing knowledge makes a difference.
  • Ensuring safe and coherent pathways during admissions and other transitions.
  • Close collaboration with social and health care workers, therapists, general practice, hospitals, relatives and other partners.
  • Guidance, teaching and professional sparring with colleagues, students and relatives.
  • Documentation and quality assurance in Nexus.
  • Contribution to development and implementation of nursing practice.

For us, nursing is not a desk job. You are close to the residents, accessible to colleagues and an active player in daily life.

We are looking for you who

  • Are a licensed nurse.
  • Preferably have experience from the elderly care sector, for example from a nursing home or home care.
  • Have a strong clinical eye and work independently with nursing problems.
  • Thrive in a multidisciplinary collaboration and actively contribute with your professional knowledge.
  • Want to be close to the residents and see care as a natural part of the nursing role.
  • Meet people with respect, care and curiosity.

Our shared values

At Skovgården we work from the Municipality of Fredensborg’s values of dignity, respect, safety and collaboration. At the same time, the Eden Alternative is an important part of our culture and way of being a care home. We base our work on the individual resident’s wishes, resources and life story and strive to create quality of life, self-determination and meaningful everyday lives.

We believe that high professionalism and presence go hand in hand, and that the best solutions arise through close collaboration with residents, relatives and colleagues. At Skovgården, respect, trust and community are the foundation of how we work – both in our meetings with residents and with each other as colleagues.
