Nutrition Assistant sought for Dagnæs Children's House

We are seeking a trained nutrition assistant for our kitchen team at Dagnæs Børnehus with start on January 1, 2027.

The position is 37 hours per week (35 hours would also be possible) . The working hours are generally between 7:00 and 14:30 (for 37 hours, the working hours can be extended by agreement).

About Dagnæs Børnehus

Dagnæs Børnehus is located centrally in Horsens with good transport connections. We are a day care facility with both nursery and kindergarten children, where we work purposefully to create a good childhood through safe relationships, communities, and learning in everyday routines.

Mealtime plays a central role for us. We see food as an important part of the children's well-being, health, and formation, and we prioritise good dining experiences and community at the table.

Children receive morning snack, lunch, and afternoon snack every day. All meals are prepared in our production kitchen, which is centrally located in the building. The kitchen team is responsible for cooking, ordering, dishwashing, and cleaning, as well as collaboration with the pedagogical staff to create good environments for the children.

We work with a focus on sustainability, reducing food waste, organic farming, and the green transition. We base our work on Horsens Municipality's food and mealtime policy.

We are looking for a colleague who

• Is a trained nutrition assistant.
• Enjoys cooking and contributing to good cooperation both in the kitchen and in the rest of the house.
• Is positive, flexible, and reliable.
• Can meet children, parents, and colleagues with presence, friendliness, and respect.
• Has an interest in nutrition for children aged 0-6 years.
• Wants to be a visible part of the house and create positive meetings with the children when they visit the kitchen.
• Ideally has experience with ordering, menu planning, and baking, but this is not a requirement.
• Wants both cold and hot kitchen tasks.

Experience from day care is an advantage but not a prerequisite.
