About the job

Occupational Therapists – with a focus on well-being, interdisciplinary collaboration and a good patient journey

The Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Department at Holbæk Hospital is looking for an occupational therapist for a permanent position starting 01.12.2026 or as soon as possible.

Would you like to become part of a professionally strong and development-oriented department? Then the opportunity is now.

We are seeking an engaged occupational therapist who wants to join our medical/surgical team.

About us

The Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Department provides physiotherapy, occupational therapy and dietary treatment to patients on the hospital’s inpatient wards and clinics. We place importance on high professional standards and have a focus on flexible and efficient workflows. In the Occupational Therapy at Holbæk Hospital we are organized into two teams: a medical/surgical team that carries out tasks across the hospital, and a neurological team that is attached to the inpatient ward for patients admitted with a stroke.

You will become part of the medical and surgical occupational therapy team, but as needed you will also contribute across teams and take on responsibilities in the stroke team. Therefore it is important that you thrive in a workday where you work at a specialist level within your own team and can apply your basic occupational therapy competencies when help is needed across teams.

We offer

We welcome you to a development-oriented Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Department with opportunities for involvement, exciting tasks and professional development. We believe that together we create a good working environment and high well-being, where professionalism and job satisfaction go hand in hand.

As a new employee with us you will be offered an introduction period with a mentor to give you a safe start. You will be offered thorough and structured training that provides you with the necessary tools and knowledge to thrive in your new role as an occupational therapist here with us.

Your tasks

As an occupational therapist you are a central part of the patient pathway, where you

  • Contribute to clarifying the patient’s motor and processing dysfunctions, including ADL observation
  • Plan and perform training
  • Conduct assessment and treatment of dysphagia, including developing eating and drinking guidance
  • Focus on interdisciplinary sparring and disseminate knowledge to other professional groups, as well as to patients and relatives
  • Assess potential and rehabilitation needs and develop rehabilitation plans, often in collaboration with the physiotherapist
  • Participate in planning meetings and support good discharge planning
  • Participate in interprofessional conferences
  • Assess the patient’s need for aids

As an occupational therapist in the department you also contribute to clinical teaching by having an occupational therapy student accompany you on your interventions and receiving ongoing professional sparring.

You as a colleague

We are looking for an occupational therapist who

  • Is curious about own and others’ practice, and who wants to continuously develop professionally and personally. You actively contribute to a professional environment where sparring, reflection and knowledge sharing with colleagues is a natural part of everyday life
  • Has knowledge of or experience with assessment and treatment of dysphagia
  • Contributes to an active admission process and promotes a rehabilitative approach
  • Thrives in a changing daily life with many balls in the air
  • Is adaptable, solution-oriented and actively contributes to prioritizing today’s tasks
  • Communicates clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, as collaboration and dialogue with different professional groups at the hospital and our municipal partners are a major part of everyday life
  • Has Danish authorization as an occupational therapist
