About the job

SAFE residential facility is seeking engaged and professionally competent on-call substitutes for work with children and youths aged 9–17.

SAFE is a private children’s and youth home, where we offer a safe, structured and development-supportive everyday life for children and youths, who among other things may have experiences with neglect, trauma, school refusal, social control, relation difficulties or other burdensome life circumstances.

Our aim is to create stable and predictable frameworks, where the children and youths are met with respect, presence and clarity, and where their resources, development opportunities and individual needs are at the center.

We work from a shared professional foundation including mentalizing, affirming relational work, LØFT and ADL . In daily practice we work purposefully with relationships, structure, schooling, leisure time, independence, emotional development and social skills.

Our children and youths are not generally characterized by outwardly reactive behavior, but several need adults who can be calm, stable and persistent in the relationship. Therefore it is important that you can be a clear and caring adult who can create security without pushing, and who can maintain an overview in different situations.

About the work

As an on-call substitute you will be part of the daily pedagogical efforts and will among other things have to:

  • create safe and stable relationships with the children and youths
  • support the individual in daily structure, school, leisure and social relationships
  • work targeted with individual goals and sub-goals
  • participate in activities, meals and practical tasks in the house
  • support the children and youths in ADL and development of independence
  • work with mentalizing and affirming in contact
  • document professionally and accurately in our journal system

Working hours can be on weekdays, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays. Longer shifts may occur depending on the house's needs.

  • educator
  • pedagogical assistant

We also emphasize that you have experience with or knowledge of children and youths who have experienced neglect, trauma or other social burdens.

We expect that you

  • can work relationship-oriented and professionally
  • have calmness, patience and clarity
  • can work structured and responsibly
  • can follow agreements, action plans and procedures
