The position as organist/church musician at Flade Church and Gærum Church,

Frederikshavn Deanery is available and to be filled on 1 December 2026 or by agreement.

We are looking for an organist who

·                can undertake the instrumental musical accompaniment

at services and other church ceremonies

• can play both traditional church music and rhythmic music
• willaid in musically with children’s and youth work and the church’s other activities

·                will help develop new initiatives - e.g. musical playgroup and baby psalm singing

• will participate in sing-along evenings in the churches
• has good collaboration skills, is outgoing and will join a flexible work community with the other staff
• is churchly engaged and prepared to actively participate in parish life

Salary and terms of employment

Employment of a church musician is covered by the Collective Agreement between the Ministry of Taxation and CO10 - Central Organization of 2010 and the organizational agreement between the Ministry of Ecclesiastical Affairs and CO10 for church officials with core tasks such as parish clerk, church and cultural worker or church musician and the associated protocol for church musicians.

The annual salary for a church musician is agreed within the interval

333,747.51 kr. – 475,590.07 kr. (current kroner).

The on-call allowance amounts to annually 27,641.26 kr. (current kroner).

OK allowance of 1,082.22 kr. (current kroner).

An agreement on placement in the salary range is made between the parish council and

the Danish Church Musician Association before employment.

Employment of an organist with a degree as “Church musician with Organ and Choir Direction” or an organist with a PO-degree is covered by the Agreement between the Ministry of Towns, Rural and Church Affairs and CO10 – Central Organization of 2010.

The annual salary for applicants with church musician education in organ and choir direction (formerly PO-organists) is agreed in accordance with the agreed basic pay grade system.

Base grade 1 amounts to kr. 350,435.39 annually (current kroner) and

Base pay grade 2 amounts to kr. 368,188.95 annually (current kroner).

Placement is according to seniority.

The on-call allowance amounts annually to 37,941.48 kr. (current kroner) for service at 2-3 churches

Organists with a church music master’s or bachelor’s degree are covered by the protocol to the academic collective agreement on the contractual employment of DOKS organists and permanent teachers at church music schools, concluded between Akademikerne and the Ministry of Urban, Rural and Church Affairs.

Current civil servant organists have the right to retain their civil service status on direct transfer. In such a case, the position must be classified.

The annual salary for applicants with a church music master’s degree (DOKS) is agreed according to the new pay-AC scale. That is a gross salary between 363,168.70 kr. – 442,528.78 kr. annually (current kroner). The on-call allowance amounts annually between 46,726.59 kr. – 72,572.63 kr. (current kroner).

Placement and on-call allowance are granted according to seniority. In addition, by local negotiation, qualification and functional allowances may be granted.

Salary, OK allowances as well as on-call allowances are quotaed in accordance with the position’s employment fraction.

There is a duty to perform service at other employing authorities in the deanery in accordance with the agreements that the parish councils have entered into with other employing authorities.
