Børnehuset Hvidtjørnen seeks a warm and loving pedagogical assistant

Hvidtjørnen seeks a pedagogical assistant who preferably has experience working with children from 0 to 6 years. The position is available in the kindergarten.

The position is 37 hours per week, but we are happy to adapt to your wishes. The position is available from November 1, 2026, but we are happy to wait for the right person.

Hvidtjørnen is an age-integrated institution with 65 happy children spread across 4 rooms and 15 engaged and professionally proud staff members. The staff group is composed of different competencies, interests, age and seniority. We value, and thrive on professional development, and look forward to involving you and your ideas in it.

Hvidtjørnen works with a strong focus on relation work, where we place great emphasis on expressing our joy in being with the children. Our view of children is that all children should experience being happy with themselves, and being who they are.

We live in a cozy house, with a motor skills room, and have many opportunities to be active indoors as well as outdoors. We have a lovely playground, with a football field and many play opportunities. We have tall old trees, and a thicket where there are many opportunities to hide, and get completely lost.

We are looking for a colleague who

• You must be a good and decent person.
• You may have experience as a pedagogical assistant.
• You must be able to reflect on your own efforts
• You must be proactive, have an overview and be able to work independently, and take responsibility in task distribution.
• You must have humor, a positive outlook on life and be affirming in your meetings with the children and the parents.
• You are a responsible and flexible colleague who will contribute to our good working environment.

Practical information

The position is 37 hours in the kindergarten. We can adjust the number of hours to your wishes. The position is available for occupation from 1 November 2026, or by agreement, as we are happy to wait for the right person.

The work field covers the kindergarten, but you must be prepared to also work across if necessary.

Working hours are between 06:30 – 17:00. In addition, evening meetings, and occasional Saturday events.
