Pedagogical Leader Wanted for Børnehuset Dalskovreden in Otterup

Start date December 1, 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter

We are looking for an educational leader for Børnehuset Dalskovreden in Roerslev on the outskirts of Otterup.

The position currently includes the management of Børnehuset Dalskovreden as well as tasks across the district. The composition of tasks may change in the near future.

Børnehuset Dalskovreden is a small kindergarten normed for 45 kindergarten children with eight staff. The employees work engaged, openly and honestly together to develop quality within the areas including inclusion, language and motor skills.

Dalskovreden is to be renovated during 2027. This gives you an exciting task in managing the process in collaboration with the early childhood district head. Later in the process, the furnishing of the physical learning environment will also be a task you will solve together with the staff.

Børnehuset is part of Dagtilbudsdistrikt Sletten, which consists of five kindergartens and 16 childminders. You will become part of a management team consisting of three other pedagogical leaders and a strategic day care leader.

The management team focuses especially on our working community, where coordination of tasks, sparring, help and support are a large part of the collaboration. We work collectively to develop the quality of all our day care services - a collaboration that also extends into the other day care districts in Nordfyns Municipality.

As an educational leader you should

• have a strong pedagogical foundation and be able to show clear direction
• have good communication skills and be good at listening
• be able to translate, articulate and reflect on goals and strategies together with staff
• contribute to developing professional learning communities
• be curious about others' perspectives, as they are an important source to qualify your decisions
• be visible to children, parents and staff
• make yourself available for staff sparring and prioritise inclusive processes
• understand and see the importance of staff differences as a strength in relation to developing the core task
• contribute to quality development of the core task in the entire district
• preferably have leadership experience, but it is not a requirement
• have a leadership qualification at diploma level or be willing to pursue one
• collaborate with the parents' council to develop Børnehuset Dalskovreden so it continues to be a good place to be a child
• be willing to take on leadership tasks in other kindergartens.

• be empathetic, relationally competent and have self-awareness
• have a positive approach and dare to stand in conflict-filled waters
• have courage and dare to think in creative solutions

Expected salary range will be disclosed at the first interview. The final salary is determined based on your qualifications and previous work experience and after concrete negotiation with the trade organization.
