About Børnehuset Marievang

Børnehuset Marievang is a self-financing, integrated day nursery with approximately 35 toddlers, 65 kindergarten children and 20 staff. The daily leadership team consists of a principal and a deputy principal.

We have a special focus on the good life of children, where children have room to learn about themselves, others and the world. We emphasize creating safe frames for play, learning, development and communities.

We value staff professionalism and engagement and want a daily life where cooperation and job satisfaction go hand in hand.

As a self-governing institution we have our own board, and we place importance on a trustworthy collaboration with a clear distribution of roles and a shared focus on the institution's operation and development.

Your task as leader

You will have overall responsibility for the daily operations, staff management and the pedagogical development. Your task will be to create coherence between the institution's goals and the pedagogical everyday life and to engage the staff in the joint task.

Your main tasks will be to

• support and show trust in staff's professionalism and engagement in the pedagogical work
• be a good pedagogical sparring partner for the personnel
• create a culture characterized by collaboration, trust and job satisfaction
• ensure well-functioning daily operations and a good working environment
• handle administrative and financial tasks that come with management responsibility in close cooperation with the deputy principal
• be adaptable and keep an overview
• be available and visible for children, staff and parents

Who are you?

We are looking for a trained pedagogue with leadership experience in the daycare sector.

• can gather the staff around common goals and create engagement around the core task
• prioritize staff well-being, professional development and a strong working community
• are ambitious for yourself and for the staff

• work in a structured way and have an eye for both operation and pedagogical quality
• communicate openly and respectfully with staff, parents, the deputy principal and the board
• have a relevant leadership education or a desire to further educate yourself within an approachable, agreed timeframe

You will have the opportunity to put your mark on a self-governing institution and further develop the pedagogical practice together with a skilled and experienced staff group.

You will become part of a leadership team with the deputy principal and will have close collaboration with the board on the continued development of the institution.
