About the job

Are you a trained pedagogue, or do you have the right profile? Do you want to help create a good and exciting day for the children at Oehlenschlægersgades Skole (OEH), where you become part of a year-group team and have hours both in the KKFO and at the school? Then you might be our new colleague.

KKFO is an integrated part of the school. Here we have a wide range of offerings, which we present to the children every afternoon. There is both the possibility to carry out creative projects in our large creative workshop, do physical activities in our hall or gym, delve into board games and play, and much more.

Our KKFO offer is for children from 0th to 3rd grade. We are 15 adults and around 250 children. With us you have ample opportunity to create exactly the programs and activities you are passionate about. We are a staff group with many different people, and therefore we are used to making space for everyone and being inclusive in our collegial community.

We work from the concept "try and evaluate". That is, our approach to changes and new ideas is often to try them out and then evaluate them. We are indeed an institution in development, which in recent years has welcomed several new colleagues and a new leader. This has created a special mood characterized by initiative, development-mindedness and enthusiasm.

At OEH we believe that children do well when they can. This means that it is the adults' responsibility to create the frameworks that enable children to succeed and thrive. We have a resource-oriented view of children and are focused on how we can create participation opportunities for all children at our school – regardless of where their nearest developmental zone lies. If you share this view of humanity and are passionate about creating a good school and after-school day for the children, you may be the one we are looking for.

As something truly unique, KKFO also has Kongelunden – which is our outpost located in a scenic setting on Amager. Every day, except Friday, a bus picks up an entire year group of children and adults who travel out to Kongelunden. Here the children have the opportunity to experience nature and work pedagogically with all that it has to offer. We make our own apple juice, cook over a campfire, and explore the forest or the beach.

At OEH we work with the children throughout the day and believe that close teamwork creates the best framework for both children and adults. As an employee in KKFO you will be attached to a year-group team and participate in weekly team meetings with the teachers in the year group and in weekly staff meetings in the KKFO. You also participate in school–home conversations and joint evening meetings, where we develop our practice together.

We offer

  • room for your ideas, visions and influence
  • a culture with a focus on professional development and opportunities for sparring
  • a diverse staff group with both experienced and new colleagues
  • a staff group with a strong sense of togetherness and lots of humor
  • an active leadership that contributes with sparring and support
  • a positive and development-oriented view on tasks and changes
  • a workplace in the heart of Copenhagen

We expect that you

  • have a resource-oriented view of children and wish to work with participation opportunities for all children
  • have visions and place a high emphasis on pedagogical professionalism in your work with the children
  • meet children, colleagues and parents with an appreciative pedagogical and humane approach
  • can plan and implement forløbs or projects for both larger and smaller groups of children
  • wish to work with the children’s whole day and engage in close collaboration between school and KKFO
  • actively contribute to the development of the pedagogical practice
