Pedagogue/care assistant with pedagogical talent for respite care facility

Working hours: 25–37 hours per week. You can decide how many hours you want.

Since one of our colleagues has chosen to seek new paths, and because Lundø is rapidly developing, where we are getting more children with complex issues and a need for closer support, we are looking for two new colleagues.

We are a respite care institution for children and young people with pervasive developmental disorders who need support and caring guidance.

With us you will become an important part of a team that creates calm, continuity and positive experiences for the children, so their parents can send their children for stays with peace of mind.

Your primary tasks

• To create safe and developing relationships with children and young people aged 5-22 years (we are approved to receive children/young people aged 0-22 years)
• To work in a structured and predictable manner based on the individual citizen's needs using a Low Arousal approach.
• To plan, implement and document activities that support well-being – including sensory-stimulating, social and everyday practical.
• To contribute to a calm, clear and caring daily rhythm.
• Collaboration between school, home and authorities.
• Practical work related to daily life and time with the children and the young people.
• Assist the children and the young people in care situations

We are looking for someone who

• Is a trained pedagogue or has pedagogical experience and/or talent as a care assistant.
• Has knowledge of – or a willingness to learn about – working with pervasive developmental disorders.
• Thrives in a structured environment and can work with clear communication and visual support.
• Is calm, stable and good at creating an overview in situations that require extra attention.
• Has an appreciative view of people and a desire to work closely with skilled colleagues.
• Can work day, evening and weekend according to the rota.

Practical information

• Employment date : The position is available for filling as soon as possible, preferably starting January 1, 2027.

If you are a pedagogy student and complete the education in February 2027, that should not prevent you from applying. We are more concerned with finding the right colleague than the exact start date and are therefore happy to wait for the right candidate.
