Product owners with flair for project management for a large IT project at the Development and Simplification Agency

You will be employed in a development department that is responsible for the testing and development work of a large self-developed project in the Danish Agency for Development and Simplification, including user interfaces to citizens and caseworkers, document management component, data for taxation, sending letters, and testing of the overall IT system. We are currently seeking two sharp project managers/product owners to join a setup where there will be both cross-cutting tasks and tasks oriented toward specific teams.

As a project manager / product owner you will hold a central position where you must ensure stable operation and further development of the IT solutions. You will have a role where you need both your technical understanding, your structure and your assertiveness.

Typically you will be involved from the ideas being formed and requirements being set, to them being implemented and subsequently tested and put into production. Therefore, you must be able to span broad responsibilities, where you can set the direction for a team, be a sparring partner for the business area, and support a stable operation.

You will become part of a professionally strong environment, and will need to lead, prioritize and facilitate work in well-established teams with heavy technical profiles. Therefore there is a need for you to have a flair for and easily understand technical issues, where you help create understanding of the simple and the implementable.

In your portfolio of tasks will be

• Lead teams so developers have time to develop, and the organization reaches its goals in both quality and budget
• Stakeholder management with external parties
• Prioritize development tasks, and ensure a high-quality backlog
• Facilitate daily stand-ups, refinement, demos and similar.
• Qualify and verify defects/incidents – including by analyzing logs and data
• Provide relevant information to management about the teams' deliverables
• Participate in requirements elicitation together with the team's Business Analyst and UX designer
• Act as a bridge between business and development
• Assist with testing of the solutions.

Your profile

We expect you to have a relevant educational background and at least a couple of years of experience in a similar role, where you have been able to dive into the technology while also maintaining an overview and leading teams through the challenges they face. It requires relational as well as technical competencies to perform the role. It is also important to have genuine curiosity and a can-do attitude.

In addition, we would like you to have

• Several years of experience with complex IT projects where a broad overview is necessary
• Thrives in a everyday life that at times is busy with tight deadlines
• Good collaboration skills, and can contribute to the team delivering high quality
• Thrives in a role with many interfaces both internally in the agency and towards other agencies in the Tax Administration.

You will be employed under the applicable collective agreements for academics in the state (AC), the collective agreement for office clerks, lab technicians and IT employees (HK) or the collective agreement for salaried employees etc. (DTS) in the Ministry of Taxation and Growth.

The workplace will be Nybrovej 116, 2800 Lyngby until 1 May 2027, after which it will be Osvald Helmuths Vej 4, 2000 Frederiksberg. You will be employed in the Ministry of Taxation and Growth with associated institutions.
