Project Manager for new analytics unit

In the Municipality of Fredensborg we believe that the best decisions are made on a solid foundation of insight and data. Therefore, from January 1, 2027, we will establish a new cross-cutting analytics unit to strengthen our ability to prioritize resources, develop welfare, and create better outcomes for citizens, employees, and leaders.

We are looking for an ambitious project manager who can bring people, economics, and data together and translate analyses into action. A person who is motivated by creating an overview of complex issues, driving development, and helping to build a new function from the ground up.

Be involved from the start

The new analytics unit will be placed in the Center for Economy and Procurement and will become a strategic focal point for data-driven governance across the municipality. The unit is to be established with a core of three permanent staff, supplemented by analytically strong consultants from the organization who are involved as needed. You will thus play a central role in developing a strong professional environment.

We will develop clear and credible management information that helps leaders understand developments, identify challenges, and make the right decisions at the right time.

Our first major effort will be the special education area, where we will create a unified governance basis across economics, capacity, student progression, and academic results. At the same time, we will continue to work on data support in the elderly care area.

Our ambition does not stop here. When we have created the first results, methods, tools, and experiences will be spread to the rest of the municipality.

A role with great influence

You will be the driving force in the analytics unit and will play a central role in bringing together professional disciplines across the organization.

You will report directly to the CFO and have the opportunity to work closely with both the executive board, department heads, financial consultants, digitalization consultants, as well as leaders and colleagues in the professional areas.

Your main tasks

• Drive analysis and development projects from idea to implementation.
• Translate complex challenges into concrete analyses, governance tools, and decision bases.
• Create a shared direction, momentum, and collaboration across the organization.
• Contribute to the development of management information and data solutions on the municipality's Microsoft platform.
• Ensure that new solutions create real value and become a natural part of daily leadership.
• Build methods and workflows that can be used broadly in the municipality.

You will not have people management responsibilities, but you will be responsible for bringing people together around common goals and delivering results through collaboration.

You do not need to know everything

We do not require a specific educational background or career path, but you have probably worked with economics, analysis, digitalization, development, or business projects.

The most important thing is that you can see connections, create structure, and make projects succeed.

Working hours: 37 hours per week incl. lunch break

Start date: Monday, January 4, 2027

Application deadline: Sunday, November 22, 2026.

Interviews: First and second interview rounds will be held on November 24 and 27, 2026 respectively. A case will be included in the second interview.
