Project Manager for the wastewater solutions of the future

Then perhaps you are the one we are looking for as the project manager for wastewater projects at Lolland Forsyning. If you also have competences within overarching planning, tasks in our planning department can also be part of the position.

With us you will be responsible for guiding both small and large construction projects safely from detailed design, tendering and contract signing to execution, handover and documentation.

You will become part of a department that plays a central role in realizing future wastewater solutions. In daily work you collaborate closely with colleagues across several departments. You also get a broad contact surface to advisers, contractors, authorities and customers.

Your tasks

As project manager you will be responsible for steering and implementing wastewater projects in the construction phase. You must ensure progress, quality, economy and safety and at the same time create good coordination among the many parties that contribute to the projects’ success.

The projects are defined and initiated in our planning department, where you as project manager will receive a professional sparring partner who follows the project further through the construction phase.

Your main tasks will include

• lead wastewater projects from detail and tender phase to completed facility and finished documentation
• prepare and quality-assure tender material, timelines, budgets and project follow-up
• manage contract relations, contract management and collaboration with advisers and contractors
• ensure management of time, economy, quality, work environment, risks and authority requirements
• coordinate with relevant departments and colleagues internally in the organization, municipality, customers and other stakeholders
• follow up on progress, deviations and need for decisions in the projects
• ensure a good handover to operations as well as correct technical documentation and updating of relevant data
• contribute to learning, structure and continuous improvement of the way we carry out construction projects

Who are you?

We imagine you have a relevant technical background such as engineer, building constructor, sewer master, chief engineer or similar. In addition, you have experience with project management of construction projects.

It is an advantage if you have knowledge of one or more of the following areas

• wastewater and the utilities sector
• pipeline systems
• treatment plants and pumping stations
• contract management and tendering
• authority dialogue

As a person you work in a structured way, take responsibility and create momentum, even when projects are complex and many considerations must be balanced. You collaborate well with others, communicate clearly and follow up on agreements. At the same time you manage to find practical solutions when conditions change along the way.
