About the job
We are looking for a skilled psychologist who is motivated by longer therapeutic courses with families who want to become part of a highly specialized treatment offering for children and adolescents with severe eating disorders.
About the clinic
The clinic, together with the Inpatient Unit for Eating Disorders, handles the hospital-based psychiatric treatment of children and adolescents with moderate to severe eating disorders.
We are a clinic distributed across two sites in the Central Denmark Region with a large team in Skejby (AUH) and a smaller team in Gødstrup (RHG). The position is initially linked to Skejby, but we work closely together in daily practice on joint patient pathways, supervision, teaching, staff meetings, etc.
The clinic is characterized by high professionalism, ongoing development focus, and a long tradition of specialized treatment of eating disorders.
The treatment method is primarily family-based treatment (FBT), where the family is viewed as the most important resource, and the treatment supports the family's ability to help the child out of the eating disorder.
You will receive thorough training and ongoing supervision so you can develop your competencies within a highly specialized treatment area.
The work involves outpatient treatment of seriously ill children and adolescents and their families. You must be able to thrive in a therapeutic field often characterized by high emotionality and complex problems, but also always by possibilities for hope, meaning and development.
In outpatient treatment we collaborate closely with our inpatient unit, pediatrics, the rest of child and adolescent psychiatry, residential facilities as well as municipal actors.
We work in a strong, multidisciplinary team consisting of psychologists, doctors, nurses, social workers, social and health care assistants and pedagogues. Regardless of profession, we share the joy of a close and humorous working community, where we are in constant motion, but also understand the value of reflecting together to maintain calm and create development together.
As a psychologist in PKS you shall
- independently manage longer treatment courses with families where the child has a severe eating disorder
- assess for eating disorders, including psychopathological screening and assessment of comorbidity in children and adolescents
- ensure and coordinate collaboration with professional networks around the family, including holding network meetings
- contribute to professional development and competence development in the psychology group and in the department
- in time, take on internal and external supervision as well as teaching and advising tasks depending on your competencies.
We expect that you
- hold a cand.psych. degree and preferably have completed clinical practice education
- have an interest in assessment and treatment of especially eating disorders but also a broader spectrum of emotional, cognitive, relational and behavioral issues. Experience in the field is an advantage but not a prerequisite
- can work in a structured and independent manner, while being open and loyal in collaboration
- have good communication skills, both oral and written
- have a high professional commitment and interest in complex problems
- are flexible and collaborative in interdisciplinary contexts
- take responsibility to contribute to a good working environment
- can maintain calm, overview and professional reflection in complex treatment courses.
With us you will meet
- thorough introduction and mentoring scheme
- continuous supervision and close collegial sparring on your tasks
- a work community with highly specialized treatment based on interdisciplinary collaboration
- an engaged and professionally qualified treatment team
- a department and a group of colleagues who work together for a good working environment
- a dynamic and inclusive culture with focus on treatment quality and competence development
- opportunity to participate in teaching and theme days.

For questions about the position, you can contact the head of the department, senior psychologist Anette Hollesen at email [email protected] or tel. 2133 7088 or psychology professional coordinator Josephine Maria Brandstrup at email [email protected] or tel. 2364 5863.
Application deadline is 29 November 2026 and interviews are expected to be held on 15 December 2026.
