About Brøndagerskolen

Brøndagerskolen is a special school for children and young people with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) under the Danish School Act, § 20, subparagraph 2. Most students also have an intellectual developmental disorder and/or other concurrent diagnoses.

We have 99 students from 0th to 10th grade and about 130 staff. The school is organized as a holistic offering, where teaching, special educational interventions and leisure activities are aligned. Interdisciplinary collaboration is a central part of our everyday life and ensures the best development opportunities for each student.

As a psychologist you will be part of the school2s interdisciplinary guidance team, which consists of psychologists, speech and language therapists, occupational therapists and pedagogical counselors. Together we support the students2 well-being, development and learning.

Who are you?

We are seeking a psychologist who is academically curious and motivated to make a difference for children and young people with autism and complex developmental profiles.

You thrive in an interdisciplinary environment and want to bring your psychological knowledge into play in collaboration with the school staff, management and other counselors. You can translate tests, observations and professional assessments into concrete recommendations that support the pedagogical practice.

Work at Brøndagerskolen takes place close to practice. It requires you to be proactive, present where the task is solved . You can maintain an overview, work analytically and simultaneously translate psychological perspectives into practice-oriented solutions.

Experience with autism is an advantage, but not a requirement.

Your tasks

• Psychological assessments, including WPPSI, ABAS and BRIEF.
• Preparation of psychological evaluations, opinions and PPVs (psychological parent and/or team statements).
• Guidance and sparring for staff based on observations, assessments and analyses.
• Professional upskilling and knowledge dissemination.
• Preparation of recommendations to Child and Adolescent Psychiatry when needed.
• Participation in network, evaluation and annual meetings.
• Interdisciplinary collaboration with, among others, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
• Possible supervision of groups.

The position is 37 hours per week.
