About the job
Working with children and adolescents who are affected by an eating disorder can be challenging but also meaningful and enriching. We are many in our department, both new and experienced, who share the joy of a close and humorous work community, where we are in constant motion, but also understand the value of reflecting together to maintain calm and create development. Our department is characterized by high professional standards, a continuous development focus, and a long-standing tradition of specialized treatment of eating disorders.
If it sounds like a professional life you’d like to be part of, you now have the opportunity, as we as of January 1, 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter are seeking a psychologist for a permanent position 37 hours/week.
S3 is Aarhus University Hospital's specialized unit with a highly specialized function for treatment of anorexia in children and adolescents. We have 14 beds, and treatment is carried out in close collaboration with family and network.
We primarily work from family-oriented systemic, group-oriented and mentalization-based principles.
Organizationally and administratively, the inpatient ward is integrated with the outpatient clinic, and the two units together handle the entire hospital-based psychiatric treatment of children and adolescents with moderate to severe cases of eating disorders in the Central Denmark Region. We are part of the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUA) in the Central Denmark Region. Your position will primarily be attached to the inpatient ward. However, there may be tasks across the two units.
We seek a future colleague who values close interdisciplinary collaboration and who is engaged and curious about others. A colleague who can work independently, but who also understands the importance of showing loyalty to joint decisions and shared professional direction.
Our expectations of you
- You may very well have experience with eating disorders
- You must be educated cand.psych. and preferably specialist registered in psychotherapy
- You may have some experience with/interest in assessment and treatment of a wide spectrum of emotional, cognitive, relational and behavioral issues.
We offer you
- thorough introduction and mentorship program
- to join an engaged, humorous and professionally highly qualified colleague community
- close collegial sparring
- to partake in specialized treatment based on multidisciplinary collaboration
- participation in teaching and theme days
- continuous supervision.
In collaboration with the department you will contribute to
- ensuring quality in planning and coordination of treatment courses
- ensuring implementation of guidelines and instructions
- contributing to internal teaching and supervision of psychologists as well as other professions
- psychological contribution to our group and family-based treatment offers
- working with psychoeducation for both patients and their families
- teaching tasks internally and externally
- contribute to close cross-sector collaboration with municipalities and municipal initiatives including housing facilities.
Further information about the position can be obtained from Chief Physician Line Ranzau Hansen at email [email protected] or at tel. 2133 6522.
Salary and employment conditions in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. Employment is conditional on a satisfactory child and criminal record check and a satisfactory authorization.
