Civil engineering projects – earthworks, sewer, concrete and paving – North and West Jutland

Do you have experience with civil engineering contracts and a desire to lead exciting civil projects in North and West Jutland? Then it might be you we are looking for.

The job

With reference to the department head and based in Thisted, you will be responsible for the management of civil projects in North and West Jutland. There may also be tasks elsewhere in the country depending on the project portfolio.

In the civil engineering department, work is primarily carried out in main contracting for public clients (municipalities, various utilities, etc.) and private investors, but also as large-/general contractor for selected turnkey contractors. In addition, you work in our own main and turnkey contracts (for the company's own construction departments) with own production of earth, sewer, concrete and paving.

As a project manager at HMC you will play a central role in planning, coordination and execution of civil projects. You work closely with colleagues, clients and advisers and ensure that projects are delivered on time, with the right quality and within the budget.

Your main tasks will thus be

• Management of own civil projects, including ensuring that projects are completed optimally with focus on time, quality and economy
• Project economy and post-calculation
• Procurement and contract negotiations
• Prepare and revise schedules
• Occupational safety and quality assurance
• Ensure a good team spirit and morale among the employees
• Calculate independent offers for future cases in close collaboration with your colleagues

Qualifications

You have solid experience as a project manager with management of civil engineering tasks and experience with own production. You are a result-oriented, persistent and self-driving leader profile, with control of the details and your processes. In addition you are able to maintain overview – even when there are many balls in the air. You take responsibility, make decisions and ensure progress in the tasks. At the same time you are a good colleague who contributes to a positive working environment.

Furthermore, your personality is crucial for your success. You are determined and focused on your goals, and you are personable with very good communication and negotiation skills, combined with the necessary firmness and influence. You can create structure and have solid financial insight and good business sense.
