The residence Chr. X allé, department G, ground floor, is looking for someone who is educated as a social educator or has another social-professional background.

The residences Chr. X's Allé and Carlshøjvej are looking for a personable and skilled social-professional employee who will help create a safe and social everyday life, where well-being, development and independence are in focus for our adult residents.

About the position

In G, ground floor there are seven residents aged approximately 28 to 38 years, all with developmental disorders within the autism spectrum. The residents have a high degree of independence but need daily support and motivation to handle personal and practical tasks.

The house, which you will become part of, is an active house where residents enjoy taking part in social events and activities; e.g. concerts, holidays, shelter trips, swimming pool, bowling, etc.

We work on developing the residents’ skills and well-being, which is partly based on the residents’ sensory profiles, TEACH and low arousal. You will be employed on a rotating schedule, where you will have day shifts, evening shifts, mid-shifts and on-call shifts.

You will join a staff group that is passionate about pedagogy and that highly values professional sparring and good collegiality. You will also become part of a team where you share responsibility for structuring the residents’ everyday life, participating in status meetings, handling contact with relatives, daily documentation work and pedagogical conversations.

We place a high value on employee involvement, e.g. during team meetings and in established professional committees; we focus on ensuring employees receive relevant competence development that supports their ability to solve the core task.

We imagine that you have

• An education as a social educator or other relevant experience from the special education field – you may also be a recent graduate
• Patience and thrive in calm and predictable environments with a desire to work 1:1
• An eye for the residents’ resources, independence and development potential
• Competences or willingness to collaborate with the caseworker, relatives and other partners and the ability to work independently, structured and in a team
• Skills in documentation work and a sharp eye for pedagogical, professional reflections and planning - we document in CURA
