About the job
Are you passionate about research, development and cross-sector collaboration? Do you want to help create more coherent pathways for children, adolescents and families in child and adolescent psychiatry? Then you might be our new research assistant at the Center for Recovery and Co-Creation.
We are looking for a research assistant for Familiens Team , which is part of the research and development project Best for Us in the North Jutland Region. You will become part of a cross-disciplinary research environment, where we work closely with families, clinical staff and municipal partners to develop, test and evaluate new ways of collaboration.
The position is 37 hours per week with start as soon as possible and is time-limited until 29.09.2028.
About Familiens Team
When a child or adolescent needs help from child and adolescent psychiatry, there are often several professionals and sectors involved. It can be difficult for families to gain an overview and experience coherence between the different interventions. In Familiens Team we test a new cross-sector collaboration model, where the family, child and adolescent psychiatry and the municipality work more closely together about the child or adolescent's pathway. The aim is to create better coordination, coherence and involvement of the family.
The collaboration is supported among other things by Familiens Digital Toolbox, which enables the family and the involved professionals to share information, communicate and create a joint overview of the course. Familiens Team is tested and evaluated as part of Best for Us. We investigate, among other things, how the model is implemented in practice, how collaboration between sectors functions, and how children, adolescents, families and professionals experience the pathways.
About the job
As a research assistant you will play a central role in the practical and research-related execution of the trial with Familiens Team.
You will work with recruitment, participant contact, data collection and data handling, as well as contribute to the ongoing implementation and evaluation of the effort. In addition, you are expected to be able to work independently with research-related tasks, including literature searches, data processing and contributions to scientific manuscripts.
The position includes both independent tasks, close contact with families and collaboration with professionals across sectors. You will also have an important role in supporting the project’s research output, ensuring high data quality and contributing to systematic workflows.
Your tasks will include, among others
- Recruit families from Child and Adolescent Psychiatry to participate in the research project.
- Handle contact and dialogue with families in connection with information, inclusion, consent and data collection.
- Create and manage participants and register and handle research data in REDCap.
- Coordinate and conduct data collection among families and professionals across sectors.
- Support the practical implementation and testing of Familiens Team.
- Contribute to systematic work, data quality, documentation and development of workflows in the project.
- Independently contribute to the preparation and processing of scientific manuscripts, including literature search, methods descriptions and presentation of research results.
- Support the project’s research activities, including data preparation, analyses, documentation and scientific communication.
- Collaborate with the project group as well as clinical and municipal partners.
- Contribute flexibly to other research-related tasks in the project group.
You will be attached to Work Package 2 in Best for Us and will work closely with the work package leader, researchers and other project staff at the Center for Recovery and Co-Creation. You will also have close contact with the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, where a substantial part of the recruitment and contact with families takes place.
About you
We are looking for a colleague who thrives on both human contact, digital solutions and independent research work. You have a relevant higher education degree, at the master's level. We place particular emphasis on your experience and competencies within research, project work and cross-sector collaboration.
We especially value that you
- Have strong communication skills and can establish a safe and respectful contact with families in vulnerable situations.
- Work independently, structured and systematic and have an eye for quality and details.
- Have good digital skills and are comfortable working in digital systems and platforms.
- Have experience with or interest in scientific work and can work independently with research-related tasks.
- Have good written and analytical skills and can contribute to the preparation of scientific manuscripts, preferably in English.
- Have an interest in or experience with data collection, evaluation and research methods.
- Can collaborate with different professional groups and navigate in cross-sector collaboration.
- Are flexible, take responsibility for your tasks and contribute actively to the common work in the project group.
- Can handle confidential information and work according to established procedures.
We will particularly prioritize applicants with knowledge of Best for Us and Familiens Team. Knowledge of REDCap and experience with research-related data handling is an advantage, but not a requirement. There will be opportunities for relevant training.

You will become part of a project group with researchers and project staff who work with implementation, evaluation, co-creation and cross-sector collaboration. We value high professional standards, psychological safety, flexibility and a workplace culture where we help each other and carry tasks together.
