Technically proficient colleague sought for construction estimates and economic analyses

”At the Road Directorate we take our responsibility for estimating and calculating the economic needs for construction projects seriously, and for us it is an important task to ensure that resources are used to the greatest societal benefit. Therefore we also continuously follow up during implementation,” says team lead Helle Hagen Blæsbjerg.

With Infrastructure Agreement 2035 we have many exciting projects in the coming years at the Road Directorate. Roads are to be built, new connections established and the existing roads expanded, and all of it must be operated and maintained. At the same time, we must ensure that we invest in infrastructure projects where we get the most value for money, both when planning, designing and constructing. Therefore we are seeking a new colleague for our analytics team in the Construction Division.

Your core tasks will include

• contribute to the preparation of construction estimates
• support project management for construction projects with documentation regarding project changes
• support project management for construction projects with documentation regarding different contract forms including main and turnkey contracts as well as contracts under open-book principles
• participate in a cross-disciplinary work tasked with developing and ensuring consistency in relation to New Construction Budgeting
• participate in risk analyses, analyses for lessons learned for upcoming small and large construction projects as well as analyses relating to the state roads, such as needs- and resource analyses
• support the preparation of climate calculations

Your profile

We imagine that you have a relevant academic education e.g. as an engineer, economist or similar. In addition, you have a few years of relevant professional experience.

In addition, we would like you to

• have an understanding of and be able to communicate the relationship between construction technology and economics
• have technical insight into different types of construction tasks (an advantage, but not a requirement)
• work in a structured way and be able to create a good overview in a day that alternates between large and small tasks
• be an engaged team player and good at collaborating in a cross-disciplinary environment and be able to create understanding—even between opposing interests
• focus on supporting and contributing to the further development of our work with estimation and calculation
• be sharp in both oral and written communication

You will be employed in the Road Directorate's Construction Division, which among other things has the task of managing project management and control of Road Directorate's larger and smaller construction projects across Denmark.

You will become part of the Analysis team, which consists of eight engaged and skilled employees who work with various economic and climate analyses related to planning, construction, operation and maintenance of the state road network. We prepare estimates/construction estimates and other economic analyses, which support both the Construction Division and the Road Directorate in general.

You must be prepared for travel and meeting activity geographically spread across the country, just as we make extensive use of virtual meetings in our daily lives.

You will become part of an organization where flexibility, competence development and work-life balance are high on the agenda. There will be the possibility of weekly home office days.

Your salary and employment terms

You will be employed and compensated according to the applicable civil service agreement.

As an academic you are employed according to the then-current agreement between the Ministry of Finance and a number of academic organizations for academics in the state. You are placed based on academic seniority (basic level 1-8) per the applicable AC agreement. You can see salary progression on the AC scale base levels on page 32 in State Salary Overview.

Depending on your seniority and professional qualifications you can be employed as Special Consultant per the AC agreement Appendix 4. You will then be placed as Special Consultant, lower level. You can see the base salary levels on page 31 in State Salary Overview.

In addition to base pay there is the possibility to negotiate an individual qualification allowance depending on experience and qualifications. There will be attached a pension scheme of 18.07%.
