About the job

Are you passionate about creating access to meaningful communities? Would you like to guide parents whose children/youth are not yet part of a club or music school? Then our position as a student assistant in Brøndby Municipality might be for you. We are seeking:

  • one student assistant for the Leisure Pass Scheme (children and youth) at 15 hours per week.

About the Leisure Pass Scheme

A Leisure Pass provides families with children aged 0-17 financial support for memberships, equipment and competitions. Although the scheme is relatively new in Brøndby, it has already brought joy to many children and youths who otherwise would not have been part of a leisure-time community – in fact, around 600 children and youths are expected to receive a leisure pass in 2026.

Since the scheme was established in 2022, we have continually evaluated and adjusted it. You will be part of that process in collaboration with Heidi-Liv, project manager for the Leisure Pass Scheme. Together you will make the scheme even better so that even more children and youths become part of an active community.

What you will do in the role

  • Administration related to applications for a leisure pass
  • Guidance to families with children/youths towards the right leisure activity
  • Collaboration with the municipality's professionals and the voluntary sector to ensure operation, quality and development of the scheme
  • Give presentations to professionals and citizens about the scheme
  • Participate in various events where possible to meet citizens
  • Ongoing collection and processing of data for follow-up and evaluation
  • Contribute to PR and communications, e.g., text for website, flyers and social media

Quote from a previous student assistant

You will be surrounded by truly skilled colleagues who are eager to teach and contribute to developing your competencies. In addition, you will work with a project manager who values your input and involves you in both large and small decisions. There is room for a student assistant to take responsibility, come up with ideas and develop professionally. What I particularly appreciated about the role was that you feel like a fixed part of the team and have the opportunity to tackle larger tasks and be where things happen.

About you

We imagine that you are

  • Student in the final year of your bachelor or the start of your master (e.g., sports, pedagogy, social work, health, culture and leisure management, etc.). Your background is not decisive as long as you want to help create the best conditions for more children and youths to join meaningful communities and have an active leisure time.
  • Motivated to make a difference for children and youths in vulnerable positions
  • Independent, structured and comfortable with administrative and coordinating tasks
  • Open and approachable with strong relational competencies, both internally in the administration and externally in dialogue with citizens, volunteers and associations
  • Understanding of, and preferably experience with, volunteering and associations

A bit about us

Your upcoming colleagues sit primarily in Culture, Sports and Leisure at Brøndby Town Hall, which is part of the Department of Children, Culture and Sports. We are a mixed team of staff consisting of consultants, project managers, administrative staff, an event coordination trainee, a student, and a manager. We value an informal work environment and strong collaboration. We regularly gather for social events and Thursday cake.

Employment terms

The position is 15 hours per week with flexibility so you can fit it around your studies. Start date for the position is January 1, 2027. Salary and terms of employment according to the applicable collective agreement. You should be prepared that evening work may occasionally occur.
