The Regnbuen Daycare offers right now a completely new and exciting position as a resource pedagogue with coordinating function in our kindergarten department

The position is basically 37 hours per week with a desire to start as soon as possible.

Who are we?

We are a large, lovely new day care facility in Glostrup. At present the institution houses 4 toddler groups, 4 kindergarten groups and a basic offering which is in the process of expanding to two groups. We are in full swing to upstaff both in the toddler unit and the kindergarten so that there are more adults to give the children presence, care and to create good conditions for their well-being and development.

We work from the new view of children, where we believe that children do the best they can and respond to the environments they are in. Therefore we also look at children's behavior as a way in which the children tell us something about the learning environments we offer the children. Adults have a responsibility to adjust the learning environments and our practice if the children show us a need for it.

We take care to meet each child with warmth and acknowledgment, and to guide the children toward what we want to see, rather than labeling what is unwanted. In Regnbuen we are skilled at starting from each individual child’s needs and the current group of children and offer learning environments, play and activities from here.

We work daily in smaller groups, which our physical surroundings support with, among other things, a large room with two adjoining memory rooms in all rooms, a tumbling room and a creative workshop. At the moment we are focused on making our play zones knife-sharp so they invite play, curiosity and exploration among the children. In addition, we also practice working with adult organization, adult positions and learning environments and pedagogy on the playground.

We work from a resource-oriented approach to children and parents, and we repeatedly bring the child’s perspective to the fore, as a compass for our pedagogical work. We focus on care and present adults, to take the pace out of everyday life, and to create time for immersion, play and exploring together with the children.

In Regnbuen we are professionally bold, we dare to wonder, be curious and critical of our own and each other’s practices. We use among others TOPI, ICDP, LOFT and the language ladder as part of our working methods. We have a strong focus on creating a day care with high quality in daily life, which also means that we expect each other to keep up to date with professional knowledge, and that there is ongoing reflection and sparring in smaller or larger groups regarding professional articles, chapters, themes or podcasts, where we actively decide how we want to work with it in our kindergarten.

The role as professional coordinator

In your role as resource pedagogue, your tasks (in close collaboration with your colleagues) will include, among other things:

• Co-holding the child cases and maintaining an overview of the ongoing pedagogical initiatives. We have several children in vulnerable positions, so it is important that you find it meaningful to work with these children and the strengthened parent collaboration that comes with it.
• Participate in classroom meetings and be proactive to ensure that decisions are followed through in the classrooms
• Enhanced efforts in the classrooms – you must dare to take the lead and go first in implementing the agreements we make and what the classrooms may need. This can also be a focused initiative/lesson around a group of children.
• Overview of the language ladder
• Sparring in connection with TOPI assessments (Early Tracking and Intervention – a tool that assesses children’s development, well-being and learning – to be prepared twice yearly, spring and autumn)
• Sparring meetings with our interdisciplinary team
• Strengthen the work with the reinforced pedagogical curriculum in daily pedagogical planning and practice
• Close collaboration with management
