About the job

Ballet program coordinator for The Royal Danish Theatre's Ballet School

The Royal Danish Theatre's Ballet School is seeking a coordinator for a newly created position with responsibility for the development, planning, coordination and implementation of the Ballet School's preparatory ballet program and summer school. As the coordinator you will play a central role in translating the artistic vision for the two programs into concrete planning, coordination and execution. You report to the Ballet School Director and are part of the Ballet School's administrative team.

The position entails close and continuous collaboration with the Ballet School's artistic director, who sets the artistic and ballet-technical direction.

About the position

A significant part of the position will be the establishment and subsequent operation of the preparatory ballet program, which will be phased in from the school year 27/28. The program should give children the opportunity to immerse themselves in classical ballet alongside their regular schooling and create a clear development path towards a possible later admission to the Ballet School. You will also be responsible for the administrative planning and coordination of the Ballet School's summer school.

In your work with these areas you must be able to move safely between the ballet-technical sphere and administrative planning and ensure that artistic ambitions are translated into well-functioning practice.

Your tasks

Your primary tasks will be

  • development, planning, coordination and administration of the preparatory ballet program
  • planning, coordination and execution of the Ballet School's summer school
  • budget management
  • coordination between the artistic director, the Ballet School Director, administration, teachers and external partners
  • preparation of plans, analyses and proposals
  • communication with students, parents and partners
  • development and maintenance of administrative workflows and structures
  • other coordinating and administrative tasks related to the Ballet School's artistic activities and development

About you

  • We are looking for a profile that combines in-depth ballet-technical understanding with strong administrative competencies.

We expect that you

  • have a professional ballet technical background and an in-depth understanding of classical ballet and ballet teaching
  • have solid experience with administration, coordination and project management
  • use Microsoft Excel and Word at a high level
  • have strong organizational and analytical skills and can create structure and overview in complex processes
  • work independently and systematically and follow tasks from planning to execution
  • communicate confidently and professionally both in writing and orally
  • have good collaboration skills and can work across artistic and administrative disciplines

Working hours

Since the preparatory program is an afternoon offering and the summer school takes place in July, you will be at work most afternoons each week, as well as for most of July.

The position is 32 hours. Salary according to the AC collective agreement.

Please note that a child certificate will be obtained in connection with the employment .
