About the job

At Veum Bøg Residential Facility, we are seeking a pedagogical professional coordinator who can unite, inspire and develop – together with colleagues!

Are you the type who becomes curious when something doesn’t work? Someone who is passionate about turning theory into practice, and who knows that the best solutions are often found through collaborative reflection, professional sparring, and the courage to try something new? Then you might be the one we need!

You will become part of the team

You will be anchored at our residential facility for adults with physical and mental developmental disabilities. Here you will meet engaged colleagues who every day work to create the best possible everyday life for the residents. Your task will be to build on their experience and professionalism and, together with them, improve the pedagogical practice.

We work within the framework of the Danish Social Services Act § 85, the Almen Bolig Law § 105 and the Health Act § 138.

You should not stand on the sidelines and tell what needs to be done. You should be part of the community, ask curious questions and help your colleagues find new ways when something is difficult.

You will also play an important role in professional quality assurance and follow-up on special initiatives in the autism area. You will report directly to the center director and can spar with other coordinators. In time, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development and establishment of a new residential facility.

Your tasks – professionalism close to everyday life

  • Provide professional sparring and guidance to colleagues in daily pedagogical work.
  • Support the implementation, development and ongoing adjustment of pedagogical methods and approaches.
  • Ensure structure and quality in professional documentation.
  • Contribute to the preparation and follow-up of goals, action plans and evaluations.
  • Support close interdisciplinary collaboration with the facility’s nurse.
  • Coordinate collaboration with relatives, social workers and other partners.
  • Plan and facilitate professional meetings, reflection and learning in the staff group.
  • Contribute to the development of professional initiatives and quality in the offer, including special autism-area initiatives.
  • Be a consistent professional key person and contribute to vacation planning so that there is, as far as possible, either the professional coordinator or a leader present.
  • Support management in tasks related to daily operations and professional development.
  • Participate in overlaps and, when needed, morning care to strengthen workflows, coordination and professional direction – and, if needed, join the pedagogical practice.

We are looking for you who carry professionalism in your backpack

  • Have a degree in pedagogy
  • Have experience from the specialized social sector.
  • Have experience with adults with physical and mental developmental disabilities.
  • Experience with autism is a prerequisite for the position. This includes solid practical experience, a strong theoretical foundation and familiarity with autism-educational methods.
  • Have experience establishing, testing, evaluating and adjusting pedagogical approaches so that they create value for the citizen.
  • Can translate theory into practice and make complex professional knowledge usable in everyday life.
  • Can create reflection, engagement and followership through sparring and collaboration.
  • Have knowledge of VUM 2.0, FFB, target goals, sub-goals, LA2u and structural pedagogy.
  • Are analytical, curious and persistent – and dare to challenge both your own and shared practice.

We succeed when we develop together

As a pedagogical coordinator, you help ensure quality, coherence and professional direction. You must acknowledge the knowledge your colleagues already bring into the work, and at the same time have the courage to ask questions, challenge habits and inspire new perspectives.

When we don’t succeed with the citizen, it is not the citizen who must fit the method. It is us who must investigate together what we can do differently.

Our core task is our shared compass

To be co-creators in giving the citizen opportunities to participate in their own life and become as self-reliant as possible.

Our culture is built on five common ways of working together

  • We see the person before the task.
  • We talk to each other – not about each other.
  • We are curious before we judge.
  • We take responsibility.
  • We succeed together.

As a pedagogical coordinator, you will be part of this culture and an important teammate in maintaining and further developing it.

What you will get with you at us?

  • A strong collegial community where we help each other and share professional perspectives.
  • Professional influence and an opportunity to develop practice together with your colleagues.
  • Great independence in planning your work and the opportunity to take professional responsibility.
  • Working hours primarily during the day (7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.). There may be meeting activity outside normal working hours, but only occasionally.
  • Room for curiosity, reflection and the courage to try new ways.
  • Opportunity for relevant further education and ongoing professional competence development.
  • Close collaboration with the center director and sparring with other coordinators.
  • Opportunity to leave your mark on existing initiatives and a forthcoming residential facility.

Are you our new colleague?

We are looking for a coordinator who comes with a backpack full of knowledge and experience – but who also has room for everything colleagues can teach you. Someone who can lead when direction is needed, walk beside when sparring is needed, and be part of the team when we need to find the way together.

For with us, professional development is not something one person creates. It is something we succeed in doing together. We look forward to hearing from you!
