About the job

Head of Professional Practice at Curea

Do you want to develop pedagogical practice – and strengthen the professional expertise where it makes the biggest difference?

How do we translate specialized knowledge into everyday action? How do we qualify the professional assessments in complex cases? And how do we create a shared professional direction that can be felt in the children, young people and families we work with?

These are some of the questions you will have the opportunity to work with as Head of Professional Practice at Curea .

We are looking for an experienced and professionally ambitious profile with strong pedagogical competencies, analytical understanding and a focus on developing practice. Someone who can challenge existing perspectives, qualify professional decisions and support our team leaders in translating knowledge, reflection and professional ambitions into concrete actions.

You should be able to delve into the complex issues and lift your gaze to the overall quality of our interventions.

Your professionalism must be felt in practice

Curea is a social-educational company that works closely with children, young people and families in complex life situations. We solve specialized social-pedagogical tasks in the families' homes and collaborate with municipalities to create development, wellbeing and better everyday possibilities.

Our interventions include, among other things, children and young people with autism, ADHD, anxiety and other challenges that affect their development, participation and family life.

We believe that qualified social-pedagogical work requires more than good intentions. It requires professional reflection, methodological awareness, curiosity about the individual human being and the ability to continuously examine whether what we do actually creates the desired development.

This is where you come into the picture.

A central role in the development of our professionalism

As Head of Professional Practice you will play a central role in strengthening professional quality and creating coherence between our professional ambitions, the team leaders' decisions and the employees' concrete work.

You do not need to have all the answers. You must help ask the questions that make us wiser, qualify our assessments and ensure that professional reflections are translated into action.

Your tasks will include, among other things, to

  • Qualify professional assessments in complex cases and contribute with new perspectives when problems require deeper analysis.
  • Support and challenge our team leaders through professional sparring, reflection and dialogue about concrete interventions.
  • Develop our pedagogical practice and contribute to a clear, coherent professional direction across Curea.
  • Strengthen the connection between theory and practice by following relevant research, professional methods and new knowledge and assess how it can be applied in our work.
  • Follow up on the quality of our interventions and support that professional decisions are translated into concrete actions and continuously evaluated.
  • Create room for professional development , where we dare to ask questions, challenge habits and explore alternative approaches.

An important part of the role will be the ability to navigate between the needs of the individual child or family and the professional, organizational and collaborative considerations that shape our work.

Who are you?

We imagine that you have a solid social-educational background and experience in working with children and young people in vulnerable positions. You have a strong pedagogical understanding and can analyze complex problems without losing sight of the person behind them.

You have experience with professional leadership, leadership or another function where you have been responsible for qualifying others' professional work and developing practice. You do not need to have all the answers in advance, but you must have the courage and the competencies to approach the difficult questions in an investigative and systematic way.

We place particular emphasis on the following: you

  • Have a relevant social-educational or pedagogical education. A master's degree in, for example, pedagogy or a related field is relevant.
  • Have solid experience with children and young people in vulnerable positions and an understanding of the complexities that can shape their development and family life.
  • Have experience with or specialized knowledge of, for example, autism, ADHD and other developmental or psychosocial issues.
  • Can analyze professional issues, identify patterns and connections and translate your knowledge into usable perspectives.
  • Have experience with supporting professional development through sparring, reflection, feedback or leadership.
  • Can bring together different perspectives and professions and create direction without closing down dialogue.
  • Are curious about new knowledge and focused on how we can continuously qualify our practice.

You are professionally clear, but not dogmatic. You can challenge without creating distance, and you know that the development of professionalism requires both trust, perseverance and the ability to ask the right questions.

What do we offer?

At Curea you will have the opportunity to influence the development of a social-educational company where pedagogical practice is closely connected with the children, young people and families we collaborate with.

You will take on a role with the possibility to make professional marks, challenge existing approaches and help develop the framework for how we work with quality, reflection and professional development.

We offer

  • A central professional role with the opportunity for real influence on the development of Curea.
  • Close collaboration with team leaders and employees on complex social-pedagogical issues.
  • The possibility to actively bring your knowledge and experience into play and translate it into the development of practice.
  • A position where professional deepening and organizational development go hand in hand.

The position is 20-25 hours per week , with the possibility to increase the number of hours over time in line with needs and development.

Would you like to set the professional direction?

If you are motivated by developing pedagogical practice, qualifying professional decisions and making specialized knowledge applicable in a complex daily life, we would like to hear from you.

We are curious about how you work with professional development, which perspectives you bring, and how you would help strengthen the quality of our interventions.

Maybe you are the one to help set the next professional direction at Curea.

We look forward to hearing from you.
