As a senior project manager, you will have a central role in establishing the new rainfall- and wastewater supply for the new buildings in Tingbjerg. The project is an important part of the area's development and must ensure that new buildings can be connected to the supply, while we maintain the service level for existing citizens and support the municipality's goal of reducing the environmental impact from overflows during heavy rainfall events.

Key role in a project with many interfaces

You will be responsible for driving HOFOR's part of the project from the upcoming design phase. HOFOR is responsible for designing the facilities that we will own and operate going forward. There is also dialogue with the area's developers about the division of responsibilities in the execution phase, which means that the scope and organization of the project can develop as the project matures.

The project has many interfaces, and you will be the link between HOFOR, consultants, contractors, developers and authorities. Therefore, the role requires that you thrive on ongoing coordination of activities, timelines and decisions with the project manager for building development.

Your tasks include among other things that you

  • Plan and coordinate activities across the project’s many actors, including
  • Lead project meetings and ensure follow-up on decisions and actions
  • Consult with advisers and contractors on technical solutions and construction methods
  • Handle contract relations and ensure compliance with applicable requirements and agreements
  • Report status to the project manager and steering committee in collaboration with the project manager for building development
  • Lead and motivate internal and external project teams

You should expect to spend 2-3 working days per week in Tingbjerg to stay close to the project and the collaborators.

Experienced project manager with understanding of facilities and execution

The right candidate has a relevant education such as a diploma or civil engineer and a minimum of 7 years of experience managing civil works projects from a utility company, consultant, contractor or client organization. You are capable both of taking control when the situation requires it and of delivering results through close collaboration with colleagues, consultants, contractors and other stakeholders.

Additionally, we would like you to

  • Have experience with both design and execution of civil projects
  • Thrive in collaboration with contractors and other actors in the execution phase
  • Have an understanding of constructability and the practical conditions on a construction site
  • Be willing to listen to citizens and residents' associations in connection with planning and coordination
  • Work in a structured manner with plans, finances and risks
  • Have experience reading, understanding and working according to contracts so that projects are executed in accordance with the agreement
  • Have good Danish skills in both writing and speaking, since you communicate broadly with internal and external parties
  • Collaborate and contribute to a positive and constructive workplace
  • Hold a valid driver's license (category B)
  • Be prepared to be vaccinated against rats
