Operations Engineer at atNorth

We are seeking a dedicated Operations Engineer to join our operations team and ensure the highest standards of availability, efficiency, and security in our mission-critical infrastructure. This is a hands-on role where you maintain and repair systems such as UPS, cooling, and HVAC, while delivering exceptional service to both internal teams and customers.

You will be responsible for operational excellence in our data centers—from preventive maintenance to on-call shifts—and ensure that our facilities meet the highest industry standards and atNorth's own stringent processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on operation and maintenance of all facility systems to ensure maximum uptime.
• Maintain strict compliance with guidelines within power- and asset management systems.
• Respond quickly to facility emergencies to mitigate risks according to established procedures.
• Proactively monitor and maintain data center equipment to identify potential failures before they occur.
• Deliver professional "smart hands" services and customer support, including hardware installation.
• Ensure that the working environment consistently meets atNorth's standards for safety and cleanliness.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rota to maintain operational integrity around the clock.
• Contribute to the team's objectives and actively participate in ongoing self-development and learning.

Your profile

• Proven experience with mission-critical facilities, specifically UPS, cooling, and HVAC systems.
• Strong understanding of scalable processes and a mindset oriented toward continuous improvement.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Experience in collaborating with vendors and ensuring that all work meets high standards.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with a deep commitment to safety and compliance.
• Technical education in a relevant field (e.g., electrician, mechanical engineer, or similar).
• Previous experience from a data center or a similar critical infrastructure or industrial environment.
• Fluent in both Danish and English
