About the job

Do you want to make a real difference for people – and at the same time be part of a work community where professionalism, wellbeing and development go hand in hand?

At Øst Hjemme- og Sygepleje i Frederikshavn we are looking for a social- and health care assistant who is passionate about creating meaningful everyday lives for our citizens, and who thrives in a professionally strong community with a focus on fixed teams and our core task:

That the municipality's citizens can maintain and improve their physical, mental and social health, functional ability and quality of life for as long as possible.

A workplace in development

We are in an exciting time in Frederikshavn Municipality, where, based on the new elderly law, we are purposefully working to strengthen citizens' right to self-determination, continuity and closeness in care.

This means that you as an employee will become an active part of a change where professionalism, relationships and quality are central.

We are developing our practice so that it takes even more account of the citizen's wishes, needs and resources, and where cross-disciplinary collaboration is the key to success.

About the position

We offer a permanent position in the evening shift with the possibility of 30-37 hours per week.

There is a weekend shift every other weekend.

You will be part of a committed and multidisciplinary team with colleagues who work closely together to provide the best care and support for the citizens.

Our base is centrally located in Frederikshavn at Ingeborgvej 1, where around 40 employees go about their daily work. Here social and health care assistants, social- and health care assistants, nurses, occupational therapists, coordinators and planners work side by side – all with a common goal of delivering care with quality, presence and respect.

Your everyday life with us

With us we work in fixed teams, where relationships and continuity are in focus – for both citizens and employees – and where professional assessment always comes first.

In daily work you will have the opportunity to follow the citizens closely, engage in professional sparring and take an active part in decisions in your team.

We use triage as a common tool for early detection and prevention of unnecessary hospital admissions.

Our approach is rehabilitative. We believe in citizens' own resources and support them in maintaining or regaining their independence.

We document in Cura and work according to Fællessprog III.

What we expect from you?

  • You are a trained social- and health care assistant, and you:
  • work independently, professionally secure and with the citizen at the center
  • thrive with changes and see development as a natural part of your work
  • have a desire to actively participate in the work with the new Elderly Act and the development of fixed teams
  • contribute to strong collaboration and a culture characterized by openness and respect
  • are familiar with IT and have a driver's license

We offer you

  • a thorough and personal introduction, tailored to your competencies
  • a professionally strong environment where sparring and learning are a natural part of daily life
  • a work environment characterized by humor, openness and commitment
  • collegial support and opportunity to influence your daily life
  • focus on professional development and involvement in line with the implementation of the Elderly Act

Start date and practical information

Employment: January 1, 2027 or as soon as possible
