About the job

Would you use your professional skills close to people and be part of a community with room for both presence, professional curiosity and a good laugh? Then you might be our new colleague in Haverne at Øresundshjemmet in Humlebæk.

We are seeking a social- and health care assistant for day shift 32–35 hours per week with start on January 1, 2027.

Small units, strong relationships

Haverne consists of two smaller units with six residents in each. Here you will be part of the daily life with people with dementia and brain injury, where safety, recognizability and good relationships matter greatly.

We are focused on the person behind the disease. Of the life story, routines and the small things that make a day good. It can be a calm start to the morning, a familiar song or a cup of coffee and a conversation that is allowed to take the time it requires.

With us, professionalism and presence go hand in hand. We use our observations and knowledge to understand the residents’ needs and tailor care to the individual.

Your professionalism makes a difference

As a social- and health care assistant you become an important part of the daily care and professional collaboration. Together with your colleagues you create coherence in the residents’ everyday life and follow up when their needs change.

You will among other things

  • Carry out personal care and nursing-technical tasks with a view to the whole person.
  • Create safe relationships with the residents and a good collaboration with their relatives.
  • Contribute with observations, professional assessments and documentation that support a coherent effort.
  • Share your knowledge and be curious about both your own and your colleagues’ practice.

A community where you can be yourself

We want a colleague who is willing to contribute – with professionalism, ideas and good humor. In return you will meet colleagues who help each other and value a community where we can ask questions, share doubts and learn together.

We offer

  • Day shift and a work week of 32–35 hours.
  • Weekend shift every 4th weekend plus one extra weekend per year, as we help each other cover holidays.
  • A close environment with 12 residents spread over two smaller units.
  • Professional sparring and opportunity to develop your competencies within dementia and brain injury.
  • Influence on everyday life through your observations, perspectives and suggestions.
  • An workplace with room for smiles, humor and care for each other.

You don't need to know it all in advance

You are educated as a social- and health care assistant and have an interest in dementia and brain injury. Maybe you already have experience in the field. Maybe you are newly qualified and want to learn more.

The most important is that you are curious about the residents, take responsibility and can remain calm when a situation requires another approach than the one you first had planned. You know that good care succeeds in community, and you contribute to a respectful collaboration with both colleagues and relatives.
