Stævnens School and Residential Care is a specialized service for children and young people with special needs. We offer a holistic approach where school, leisure and residential care naturally fit together. About the position

As a school pedagogue you will be a central part of the students’ everyday life and an important teammate in the cross-disciplinary collaboration around the individual student. You support teaching in close cooperation with the teachers and actively contribute to creating a learning environment where students experience safety, motivation and the opportunity to succeed.

You work both in the classroom, in smaller groups and through individual programs, where you adapt your pedagogical approach to the individual student’s resources, needs and development goals.

Your main responsibilities

Support teaching in close collaboration with the teachers.

Plan and implement individual and group-based pedagogical interventions.

Create structure, predictability and safe frameworks throughout the school day.

Strengthen students’ social skills, well-being and participation in the community.

Be a present and appreciative adult who builds trusting relationships.

Contribute to the development, evaluation and follow-up of students’ goals and action plans.

Actively participate in the cross-disciplinary collaboration with teachers, pedagogues, therapists and other partners.

Contribute to a positive, developing and inclusive learning environment where the individual student experiences mastery and success.

We are looking for a school pedagogue who

Is trained as a pedagogue – preferably with experience from the special needs field or working with children and young people with special needs.

Works in an appreciative, relation-oriented way and with a focus on each student’s resources.

Can create structure, overview and calm – even in complex and challenging situations.

Is reflective, academically curious and motivated for ongoing development.

thrives in a cross-disciplinary collaboration where common solutions are created through dialogue and sparring.

Is clear, caring and present in interactions with both students, colleagues and parents.
