Social pedagogue for the Castle Department

Your workday

As a social pedagogue at Slottet you will, among other things

• Support residents in creating structure and a meaningful life in their daily life
• Participate in individual and group activities
• Work in a relationship-building and development-oriented manner
• Help residents cope with daily challenges
• Contribute to a high professional quality in the documentation work
• Work closely with colleagues and other professional groups

At Slottet we are a multidisciplinary team consisting of, among others, social educators, social workers, social- and health assistants, pedagogical assistants and care assistants.

Working hours and practical conditions

We work in rotating shifts, including day, evening, weekend and public holiday shifts in the hours 06:45-23:00.

We primarily work in two-shift rotations with shift change at 14:30.

The working time is planned in a 4-week rotation, and you should expect about 16-17 shifts per month.

We strive for maximum mutual flexibility and involve employees in planning the working hours.

In addition, we expect that you

• Can work with documentation on a PC
• Have a driver’s license
• Criminal record check will be obtained

Salary and terms of employment follow the applicable collective agreement.

The region is obliged to inform you of the starting salary for the position. You will be informed of the base salary, centrally fixed allowances and pension in https://www.okportal.dk/media/3qzfrimd/32381.pdf . In addition to the starting salary, the pay may include any negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications.

Short about Østruplund

Østruplund is part of the Special Center Southern Denmark under the Region of Southern Denmark.

We are a highly specialized residential facility with a focus on both care, rehabilitation and development. We work with individually tailored housing and activity offers for adults with developmental disabilities.

Østruplund is located in scenic surroundings in the village of Østrup near Otterup on Funen, with a 10-minute drive to Odense.

There are 34 residents at the facility, distributed across three departments, of which 10 residents are in Slottet. In addition we have activity and social opportunities as well as approximately 100 employees across the organization.

Slottet is a §108 residential facility for adults with developmental disabilities. Some residents may be convicted felons and have complex support needs.

Our approach is appreciative and development-oriented. We work purposefully to strengthen residents' physical, cognitive, social and emotional competencies with a view to the greatest possible quality of life, independence and participation in communities.
