About the job

Socialpsykiatrisk medarbejder til Kontaktstedet Huset

Har du fagligheden, hjertet og humoren til at skabe fællesskaber, der gør en forskel?

We are seeking a new colleague who is passionate about people, relationships and communities – and who wants to help develop a place where there is room for both big conversations, small moments, and everything in between.

As one of our good colleagues goes on early retirement, we are looking for a new team player for Kontaktstedet Huset in Viborg.

The position is 37 hours per week with start date 1 January 2027. Working hours are varied, and you will work every 4th weekend.

Huset – a place where people meet

Kontaktstedet Huset is a non-residential offer under the Danish Social Services Act § 79 for citizens over 18 with mental or social challenges. Huset is a place where you can come as you are and find care, support, companionship and community with others.

We believe that meaningful relationships and communities can make a decisive difference. Therefore we create frameworks for activities, conversations and experiences where citizens can meet like-minded people, discover their own resources, build friendships and gain courage for life – also outside Huset.

We work recovery-oriented with a clear rehabilitation and inclusion perspective. Based on the individual’s wishes, needs and resources, we support citizens to live as independent, meaningful and stable lives as possible.

Huset is part of a strong professional environment and has a close collaboration with the housing support services within both psychiatry and the vulnerable sector, which are also located in the same building.

Your role – you must be able to be in both the sofa and the community

You will become part of a small team of three staff who together run and develop Huset. You will be employed in Housing Support Psychiatry, where you join a total staff group of around 40 colleagues.

In Huset, relationships are your most important working tool. Some days the work revolves around deep, person-centered conversations. Other days involve sitting for long periods in the sofa, listening, being curious and noticing what may not be said directly.

You must be able to perceive the citizens’ needs, create security and help them articulate thoughts and feelings. You should have an eye for both the individual and the group’s dynamics – and be able to support good relationships and a positive group dynamic.

At the same time, you should be enthusiastic about initiating something! It could be board games, music, creative activities, soapstone, outdoor life or trips into town. The most important thing is not the activity in itself, but the common third space that can create contact, participation and new relationships.

You should be able to take initiative and start activities and processes – and have an eye for when you should step back so that the citizens take over and gain ownership of the community.

We are looking for a colleague who is curious about the citizens’ lives, daily life, dreams and current challenges. Someone who dares to question our practice, bring their professional expertise into play and help develop Huset so we always stay in tune with the citizens’ needs and wishes.

We imagine that you

  • Have a relevant social- or health-related education, e.g., pedagogue or occupational therapist.
  • Have solid experience from the social-psychiatric field and a desire to work with people with mental difficulties.
  • Are professionally grounded, robust, caring and engaged.
  • Are strong in relationship work and can create trust, safety and presence.
  • Have a sense of both the individual citizen and the group’s dynamics.
  • Can facilitate conversations, group programs and activities and work co-creating based on citizens’ resources, wishes and initiatives.
  • Want to develop your professional skills, ask questions about practice and contribute with new ideas.
  • Have overview, take responsibility and are good at following up tasks and ideas through to the end.
  • Are a team player who values collaboration and loyalty, contribute ideas and at the same time give space to others.
  • Want to collaborate with volunteers, housing support and the municipality’s other non-residential contact points.

In short, we are looking for a colleague who can hold the seriousness without losing humor, be present without always having to do something, and create activities without forgetting that the relationship comes first.

We offer you

  • A meaningful job where you help make a difference every day.
  • An important role in a small team with a high degree of independence and the opportunity to leave your mark on Huset.
  • Dedicated colleagues and a strong interdisciplinary community.
  • Opportunities for professional and personal development, supervision and ongoing sparring.
  • An work environment where we help each other, lift each other up and have room for both professionalism and humor.
  • Social events and joint activities throughout the year.
