About the position

As deputy manager you will be the leader’s close collaborator and play a central role in the daily management of the Daycare House. You will be responsible for both administrative tasks and professional leadership of the pedagogical practice.

Your tasks will include, among others, to

• Contribute to the strategic development of Brunebjerg Daycare House
• Exercise professional leadership closely with practice
• Collect data, keep an overview of it, develop action plans with the staff and evaluate
• Offer sparring to the staff
• Support staff development and collaboration
• Translate professional goals into everyday action, in collaboration with our practice supervisor and staff
• Coordinate work schedules and the annual norm for staff
• Contribute to a strong culture characterized by joy at work, quality and a strong sense of community
• - and many other exciting tasks

• Has an overview, even on a busy daily routine

Leadership experience is an advantage, but not a requirement. If you do not have a leadership degree, we offer the possibility of relevant leadership education.

Who are we?

We are a Daycare House with about 100 lovely children. We are 25 staff members who collaborate, with professional reflection and development as a natural part of everyday life. We work among other things with:

• Professional knowledge and competencies from Legekaptajn (Play Captain) and neuroaffective developmental psychology
• KIDS and observation of our own practice
• Programme for Learning Leadership over 10 years, with researchers from Aalborg University
• Strong Child Communities with good collaboration with our own practice supervisor and other professional support levels in Kolding Municipality
• Using methods for pedagogical overview, structure, evaluations and systems to collect data. All to support the pedagogical curriculum.

We believe that the best quality is created in collaboration, and that new knowledge only becomes valuable when it can be felt by both children and colleagues.

For with us, you do not need to be able to do everything alone. When something is difficult in one room, it’s not just “their problem.” We work closely between rooms, share experiences and ideas and try to make each other better.

By the way, it’s not only the children who need to learn. We continually send staff on training, for new knowledge becomes really interesting when children and colleagues can feel the difference.
