About the job
We are seeking one to two specialist physicians for the Department of Breast Examinations, SUH, Roskilde. It is not a requirement that you are trained as a breast radiologist to apply for the positions, just as it is not a requirement to be a specialist at the time of application.
The department is part of Radiology and Scanning under SUH and handles both clinical mammography and breast cancer screening for all citizens of the region.
It is equipped with modern apparatus and all forms of breast cancer workup are performed, including vacuum, MRI scanning and MRI-guided biopsy.
There is a permanently employed chief physician and seven medically competent long-term substitutes employed in the department. We supervise the main education for trainee doctors in the 3rd and 4th years.
There is a partnership with the Department of Breast Examinations at Herlev-Gentofte Hospital, with the aim of training mammoradiologists for future tasks. This means you will be employed in an exchange position between SUH and HGH. A defined education program will be offered with intensive training in Gentofte for a period of 1-2 years, with the aim of obtaining competencies as a subspecialized mammo-radiologist.
During the training period you will be trained in clinical mammography, including a broad range of interventions, MR mammography and screening review and use of AI. You will also be responsible for MDT, which is held daily.
As a breast radiologist you perform a range of versatile functions, including the use of almost all modalities in daily work. Unlike most radiological subspecialties, the breast area involves both close patient contact and responsibility for patient pathways.
The positions are without on-call obligations. Employment in accordance with the collective agreement. Start date by agreement.
If you are trained as a breast radiologist and wish to apply, employment will be according to seniority and qualifications.
If you would like to hear more about the positions, please contact Chief Physician Karina Vinum at [email protected] or phone 24981343.
The employment is conditional on the receipt of a satisfactory child-safety certificate
Employment area
Region Zealand and Region Capital become Region East Denmark on 1 January 2027 as a result of the health reform. Your employment area will be Region East Denmark with all associated organizational units.

In addition to the starting salary, the salary may include any negotiated supplements depending on the position, your experience and qualifications.
