Student job: Business Analyst with a focus on data and AI

Are you nerdy about data and curious about what AI can be used for in practice? At our partner company there are large amounts of data, and your task will be to make them usable for people who do not work with numbers on a daily basis. It requires that you can build an overview and explain them, not only pull numbers out.

Who is Cand?

The study job

In this exciting student position, you will sit close to management but work across the entire house. With your interest in data, analysis and AI you will create overviews and insights that can lay the groundwork for an optimized business. The foundation is already in place. The ERP system is open, Power BI is set up and there is a strong technical colleague for operations and access who can help. What is missing is someone who uses it for something.

You will therefore have great freedom to shape how the overviews should look, and what provides the most value first. When data is in place, the next phase awaits: structuring information so it can be accessed by AI and building the first agents for tasks in editorial and administration.

In this study job you will meet a management that wants to hear your honest opinion and colleagues with very different technical experience. Therefore it matters more that you dare take ownership and knock on doors yourself than that you can know all tools from day one.

Tasks

• Build consolidated overviews and dashboards of sales, finances and development across data sources
• Replace manual Excel- and pivot extracts with clear user interfaces
• Analyze the portfolio’s economics and show where profitability truly lies
• Further develop an existing tool for competitor monitoring
• Structure data and documents so they can be utilized by AI tools
• Build and document AI agents for concrete workflows, gathered in a common tool library
• Work with data in Power BI, Excel and extracts from ERP

The company

Our partner is one of Denmark’s leading academic textbook publishers. The company is owned by a non-profit foundation, which also runs a bookstore chain and publishes around 80 titles per year for universities, professional schools and business life. The headquarters, where you will sit, is located in Frederiksberg.

You will become part of an organization with 25 employees and a flat structure, where management is accessible and decisions are made quickly. You will work closely with both editorial, marketing and management, and you get a solid foundation for a career within business intelligence, data analysis and applied AI in a company where the discipline must be built from the ground up.
