Student for weekend work in a large kitchen at Copenhagen's Madservice in Brønshøj

We are looking for a fresh and enthusiastic colleague who is ready for exciting tasks in a large kitchen on weekends, holidays and vacations.

In the weekend team we need a new colleague from 1 December 2026 to join a fixed shift every 4th weekend. The team covers various tasks, including packing of pre-packaged meals, which daily must be distributed to residents, nursing homes and housing facilities in the City of Copenhagen. The team also handles various office tasks, answering the phones for drivers and customers, and light dishwashing. The weekend team consists of four different shifts, with always three employees working together on the tasks.

You also have the opportunity to take extra shifts during holidays and vacation periods.

Copenhagen Food Service (KMS) is a large production kitchen where on weekdays we produce about 1600 portions of well-prepared food. We follow the City of Copenhagen's ecological and climate agenda and prepare meals from good ingredients, which we cook for Danish classics and more modern dishes.

The job

The work consists of routine tasks that must be performed in the same way every day. We are ambitious, and therefore thoroughness, order and systematic work are important factors in daily work. A large part of the day takes place in the packing work in the cold store, where you are two colleagues who work together. Everyone in the team is part of the overall KMS. We acknowledge cross-team collaboration and prioritize a good working environment, social interaction, and show respect for one another.

Qualifications

• We want a colleague who quickly creates an overview and thrives on systematic work
• We are seeking a colleague who is approachable and happy to work with others
• We communicate both in writing and verbally – it is therefore important that you are good at Danish
• We want a colleague who helps where needed – at KMS we help each other
• We expect you to have knowledge of the Office suite, and it is an advantage if you also have knowledge of the production management system Master Cater System (MCS)
• It is necessary to speak and understand Danish, as you collaborate with many both in writing, on the phone or in dialogue in the kitchen, where Danish is your common language

Employment terms

Salary and employment terms in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.

This is permanent employment with work every 4th weekend. Working hours on weekends and holidays are from 6:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Start on 1 December 2026.
