Narsap Atuarfia is seeking a skilled teacher with start date on 01 January 2027 or as agreed.

We are seeking a motivated teacher who can teach Greenlandic, mathematics, physics, natural science, and also assume a class teacher role.

Narsap Atuarfia has 157 students and currently has 27 teachers including management.

The school was renovated in 2016, has good teaching facilities, good and strong collaboration.

You will contribute to teaching using iPads. The goal is for all teachers to continuously develop their skills in iPad teaching in general.

Each grade level has its own focus areas, which are worked on intensively throughout the school year.

We regularly meet in subject teams, grade level teams, and class teams to plan, coordinate and support each other.

Narsap Atuarfia places particular emphasis on the subjects Greenlandic, Danish and mathematics.

Criminal background check

This position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain a child protection certificate. Under the law, employment may not begin until the municipality has obtained a child certificate.

The child certificate will be included in the municipality's assessment of who should be hired for the position.

Terms of employment

Employment is in accordance with the agreement of 25 May 2021 between Naalakkersuisut and IMAK. For applicants who are already civil servants in Greenland, this form of employment can be continued.

Staff housing

Accommodation may be provided, for which rent and a deposit are paid according to applicable rules.

Joining travel

Free joining travel is provided for the new employee and their family, and after at least 3 years of employment, a severance travel and household relocation are provided according to applicable rules.
