About the job

Do you want to help continue the course and create the future social-psychiatric sheltered housing together with dedicated staff and residents?

OK-Fonden Esbernhus is looking for you who can be a professionally strong and relationally skilled team leader and at the same time can act as deputy for the manager. We are looking for you who are motivated to create the best conditions for both residents and staff, and who want to actively contribute to the continued development of Esbernhus. You have management experience – preferably within social psychiatry – and solid knowledge about people with social and psychiatric challenges.

At the same time you are a leader who can translate development ambitions into practice, ensure stable operations and create coherence across professional groups.

About Esbernhus

Esbernhus is a social-psychiatric housing facility for adults with mental vulnerability and consists of 30 homes under the Danish Housing Act § 105. We are part of OK-Fonden and are situated in a scenic area with a view of Kalundborg Fjord.

At Esbernhus we are focused on being an attractive housing facility where self-determination and quality of life come first, and a housing facility adapted to contemporary needs. We work recovery-oriented and support each resident's opportunities to live a meaningful life with as much self-determination and quality of life as possible.

Close to practice – with responsibility for operations and development

As team leader you become the leader of an interdisciplinary staff group consisting of pedagogues, social- and health-care assistants, social- and health-care helpers, care helpers, development nurse and physiotherapist. We believe that strong results are created in the interplay between different professional disciplines and perspectives.

At Esbernhus we work purposefully with recovery-oriented approaches, competence development and strengthening collaboration within the organization. As team leader you will play an important role in this development and in ensuring coherence between professional quality, welfare and operations. You will become a central sparring partner for the staff and be visible and present in daily management – close to both residents and staff. You exercise leadership in the relational sense and continue the direction of professional practice through both words and actions.

You preferably have experience with cross-sector collaboration – including local psychiatry, hospitals and municipal actors – and you have an understanding of the complexity in the psychiatric field and the applicable laws and quality requirements.

You have strong administrative skills and work in a structured and systematic way. You follow up, ensure progress and implement initiatives so good ideas become concrete value for residents.

As deputy for our manager you are an important part of Esbernhus' leadership. The collaboration between the manager and deputy builds on a close and trusting partnership with shared responsibility for operations, development and strategic direction.

Your tasks will include

  • ensure high professional quality in the holistic approach
  • contribute to competence development, teaching and professional courses
  • support onboarding and introduction of new staff
  • ensure supervisory readiness and updating of guidelines
  • participate in work-time planning
  • participate in admissions/visitation
  • support collaboration with municipalities and authorities
  • contribute to Esbernhus' continued strategic development
  • participate in budgeting and financial follow-up.

We particularly value that you

  • have management experience – preferably from social psychiatry
  • have a relevant professional education, e.g., nurse, pedagogue or social worker
  • have completed – or want to begin – a leadership education, preferably at diploma level
  • work from a view of humanity characterized by respect, dignity and equality
  • focus on high professionalism and continuous development
  • can create cross-disciplinary collaboration and support a strong working community.

We offer

  • an exciting leadership position with great influence
  • close collaboration with the manager in a strong leadership partnership
  • skilled and engaged staff
  • a changing organization – well on its way – with professional ambitions and clear values
  • an opportunity to shape the development of Esbernhus in the coming years
  • a working environment characterized by trust, integrity and collaboration.

As a leader at Esbernhus you will become part of OK-Fonden – a value-based care organization focused on equality, high professionalism, room for diversity, relationships as a resource and the importance of homely surroundings.
