About the job

Are you a unifying service leader who wants to build on a strong foundation and set the direction for the continued development of a specialized service for children and young people with autism.

A child and youth home with professionalism and heart

Baunegård is a treatment-oriented residential service in Værløse for children and young people aged 6-18 years with autism spectrum disorders and various comorbid diagnoses, including ADHD, OCD and anxiety. We work with structure, predictability and a neuro-pedagogical framework. The tasks can be complex and require both high professional caliber, consideration, and close collaboration around the individual child or young person.

With us, the good childhood is at the center. We want to create a safe, homely and spacious place where children and young people can experience relationships, community, activities and a daily life that supports their well-being and development. Baunegård is beautifully located in Værløse close to forests and lakes, which provide good opportunities for outdoor life and activities.

A clear and unifying leader

You will be the service leader for Baunegård in an independent leadership position. So far, Baunegård and Elmehuset have shared a service leader, but the leadership will now be split, so Baunegård receives its own service leader. An important task will therefore be to create a good transition and ensure coherence and calm for both staff, children and young people.

We are looking for a leader who can see and safeguard what is already functioning well, and who can strengthen Baunegård’s culture through clear direction, trust and involvement. You must be able to create results through others, set frameworks and priorities – without initiating changes for the sake of change itself, but with an eye to when it is important to develop and create new initiatives. You know that good leadership also involves giving space, listening to different perspectives and creating a stable and safe everyday life.

Your main tasks

As service leader your main tasks will among others be to,

  • set the direction for the professional effort and support high quality in the work with the children and youths
  • be present and clear in your communication and create buy-in among staff and leadership colleagues
  • strengthen the coherence across Baunegård’s departments and support a common culture characterized by collaboration, knowledge sharing and shared responsibility
  • strengthen an already well-founded culture and support a good working environment, collaboration and well-being
  • create frameworks for staff to succeed with the complex tasks and use their professional skills as effectively as possible
  • prioritize resources and ensure coherence between tasks, operations and economy
  • collaborate with staff, relatives, authorities and other relevant partners
  • contribute to the strategic development of Baunegård in dialogue with the area manager and the rest of the organization

Who are you?

You are an experienced leader who rests in your leadership role and can maintain an overview, even when tasks are complex. You are focused on the lives and possibilities of children and youths and have an understanding of what it takes to create safe and developing environments for children and youths with the needs we meet at Baunegård.

We place particular emphasis on, that you

  • have solid leadership experience and experience with Baunegård’s target group
  • can translate professional and strategic goals into clear priorities in everyday work
  • are unifying, listening and inclusive and at the same time can make decisions and set a clear direction
  • communicate clearly and respectfully and thrive in dialogue with many different people
  • create calm, trust and good frameworks so that staff can concentrate on the core task
  • have an eye for both professional quality, staff well-being, operations and economy
  • have an open mind, are flexible and good at finding solutions

We expect you to have a relevant educational background. It is important that you can bring your experience and leadership professionalism into play in a specialized offering where relationships, structure and collaboration are decisive.

You will become part of a strong professional community

At Baunegård you will meet dedicated staff and a culture with high professionalism and focus on the well-being of the children and youths. As service leader you will have an independent leadership space and will work closely with the area manager, your leadership colleagues and relevant professional functions in the Social Administration. We emphasize dialogue, collaboration and developing the offering with respect for the solid foundation that has already been created.
