Two skilled school pedagogues for Lumby School's general department

We are looking for two approachable, engaged and professionally skilled school pedagogues for permanent positions (35 hours/week) in our general department with great enthusiasm and willingness to participate in professional learning communities in both the school and after-school care (SFO).

About us

Lumby School is a small school with a lot on its heart. We value a safe, present and strong community where the students feel valued for who they are and are important to the community. Lumby School is located in the northern part of Odense with lovely green surroundings, plenty of space and a strong local community that supports the school.

Our general school has about 120 pupils across years 0-6, and in addition the school contains a special educational department with about 100 pupils with diagnoses within the autism spectrum. Lumby School is part of the School Community Odense North, which besides Lumby School consists of Stige School and Søhusskolen.

We believe that children develop best in safe, present and developmental communities. Therefore we work every day to create opportunities for participation where all children experience belonging, contribution and success together with others.

The job

As a pedagogue at Lumby School you become an important part of both the school day and the after-school program. You will be attached to a class team in the lower years and at the same time participate in the SFO's pedagogical team.

We see the pedagogue as a key person in the child's everyday life. You move across school and leisure arenas and help create coherence in the children's day.

The job requires adaptability and a desire to work in different pedagogical arenas. You must thrive in supporting children's learning and participation in the school and create meaningful communities and activities in the after-school program.

We work with the basis of Odense Municipality's vision Together for diverse leisure, where trusting adult relationships, positive communities, co-determination and non-judgmental environments are central elements in the after-school pedagogical practice.

We dream of a pedagogue who has something on their heart. A pedagogue who is passionate about something and wants to invite the children into it. It could be nature, music, theatre, sports, movement or something completely different. The most important is not what you are passionate about, but that your engagement is felt and contributes to new experiences, communities and opportunities for the children.
